Especially at the moment I think a lot of people are feeling pretty unsure about their future, pretty unsure about the future in general.
When new challenges arise and we think “I can’t do this” the truth is, you can, and often… you don’t have a choice.
Whatever you challenge is right now, I promise you HAVE got this…

So many of our judgements, so many of our actions are down to our own internal hurt.
So when we walk around judging others, saying hurtful things that’s because we haven’t held the mirror up to ourselves.
I now look back on who I have been in the past and can own I wasn’t always the nicest human.
But I was also the sum of the ten people I hung around most.
In reading Jay Shetty’s think like a monk, today I reflect on who I used to be, why I always felt like I didn’t fit in and who I want to be going forward.

When someone leaves us we always have regrets.
In this episode I take you through the things I regretted the most when I lost my dad.
But I also discuss how these regrets don’t help us.
But they can always stay with us if we don’t work through them.
When we loose someone it often becomes our catalyst to change and to reflect on how better we can live our lives and spend the time we have left.

It is so easy to get caught up in the trap that is “keeping ourselves busy”
We all do this to avoid sitting with our thoughts and of course to run from our pain.
And although there is something to be said about not dwelling, there is also a skill in finding the right balance between running from our pain by keeping ourselves busy, to sitting and working through our pain so it won’t come and hit us later in life.
So are you in tune with your body when it tells you it is time to rest and relax?

I built a multiple six figure business while coping with grief from being fired, grief from being dumped and grief from losing a father in law.
I'm not saying that to brag, I am saying it because it is possible to change your life from your rock bottom moment
How did I accomplish so much while I sat with so much grief?
Small steps forward. Every single day.

This week we delve deep into how to make what can be the most isolating time feel less isolating.
How do we open up to avoid falling into that trap of feeling completely alone.
It's important to remember that our friends are not psychologists, therapists and aren't trained in how to help us through this traumatic time in our life.
So they might be there for us, but we must be really respectful that they have their own lives and our trauma could be quite distressing for them also.

Todays episode we delve into the world of the cliché and why people love to drop one in the face of shitty news.
Despite the lack of comfort that come from most cliché's we need to remember these beautiful humans are just trying to comfort us.
Someone giving us a cliché is mostly because they probably don't know what to say in the face of this news.
So we need to be grateful that they're a part of our circle, and are holding space for us to discuss what we are going through.
If you're delivering a cliché, think about whether there is something more deep, meaningful and honest that you can deliver.

But like anything, when you choose to avoid something it will come back at you when you least expect it.
For me it hit me in the form of anxiety and depression.
Are you currently avoiding that hard conversation?
Are you putting off sitting with your heartbreak or sadness?
