We know this one is a little different and certainly not something the was hitting he headlines in our lifetime! However, the Witch Trials are a fascinating part of history that is continually referred to and remains relevant to our modern day and continually experiences resurgences in our pop culture.

So in part one, we look at the origins of witches, what led to the Salem witch trials, who the 'afflicted' girls were and who were among the first to be accused. We also see parallels to our modern day in the way women and minorities were targeted and conservatism weaponised.
