Mike reads a letter from a pastor’s wife whose husband was addicted to pornography. They had been married for more than 18 years; in her letter she shows how discovering her husband’s porn problem was the most painful event of her life, his struggle to gain traction in the recovery process, and her concern over his spiritual condition.
Rebekah is a wife and mother of 3 who lives in Tucson. In this episode, Rebekah shares how she approached the Christian school where her kids attended school to ask if they had safeguards in place to prevent access to pornography. During her visit, the principal admitted she wasn’t aware if there were any – and took action. Rebekah’s story is an example of how one woman made an impact – and how you can too.
Since 2020, there have been a stream of professing Christians who have walked away from the church, some publicly. The times we’re living in are spiritually dangerous; it’s important that we warn God’s people and encourage, challenge, and equip for the days we’re living in. Mike gets into The Falling Away and provides action steps every believer can take.
Olivia returns to talk about father wounds and how they affected her journey, women setting boundaries with men on viewing porn and masturbating in dating, and more.
Mike was in the UK and Europe the month of October. He and Bekah had a Blazing Grace booth and Rogue Christian booth at the CRE show in Sandown Park, UK, and visited BG’s ministry partners in Austria and Finland. In this program he shares the battles they faced and how people responded, especially at the UK show.
When a man immerses himself in the evil of sexual sin for years, his heart will eventually harden and grow cold. At that point, anything can happen. Olivia’s fiancée played a major role in bringing her to Christ. Several years into their marriage, her Christian husband’s addiction to porn came to light. As time went on his heart went dark and he became verbally and then physically abusive. Eventually their marriage ended in divorce. Olivia’s story shows the horrific consequences of what sexual sin can do to a man and his family.
Today, many true believers are getting hit with intense spiritual warfare. Some fall away, and tragically, others give in to suicide. Starting August 1, when the Las Vegas campaign began, Mike went through 4 weeks of intense spiritual warfare that included 3:00AM attacks, being hit with suicidal thoughts, the intense pull to turn away from God, lies, physical anxiety and other ways. God came through during this time in the furnace and provided the way to victory. Afterward, Mike needed time to recover from emotional exhaustion. In this episode Mike shares the story of what happened in August, and discusses how you can be a spiritual overcomer.
Nathan Bentley is the senior pastor of Lifepoint Church in San Tan Valley, AZ. In this episode Nathan shares his story of overcoming porn addiction which began at the age of 12 and continued into his years as a youth leader and later into marriage. As Nathan said, “Knowing it’s wrong and actually being able to stop is two different things.”
Sunny, a woman in her twenties who lives in Las Vegas, discusses what she sees with youth in the church. She answers the question of why 75% of youth are walking away from the faith and shares what it’s like working at a radio station in Las Vegas in the middle of strip club row.
Psalm 92 tells us that the “righteous still bear fruit in old age.” Caleb, at the age of 85, continued to take new territory. Anna, the 84 year old prophetess, devoted her life to prayer, worship and fasting. We are given no pictures in the Bible of spiritual retirement; the parable of the rich man in Luke 16 who planned to spend his golden years “relaxing, eating, and drinking” and had God end his life is a warning for us to make our lives count for eternity into our final years.
