What a game!! Tatum scored 50 and was a wizard with the basketball tonight. He was attacking and dishing the ball all night long. Offensively, he was the most impressive player on the court on both sides which is certainly a feat considering our competition. We also saw one of Tristan Thompson's best performances of the the season tonight as he added in 19pts and 13rebs including 9 offensive rebounds. Marcus Smart also looked fantastic tonight offensively and defensively as he added in 23pts 3reb and 6ast. This is the type of performance we need from the team to make this series interesting. With that being said, we definitely need Kemba to step up. This was a pretty horrendous game for Kemba but fortunately, the rest of the Celtics were on point tonight.

Well this wasn't a fun game to watch by any means. We put up a couple good 11-2 runs where we looked solid but then the Nets went on a tear and absolutely blew us out. After having a 24 point deficit at halftime, there was really no looking back. Tatum left in the third after being poked in the eye but he was kind of a non factor all game anyways. The entire 4th quarter was basically garbage time for both teams as we saw 3rd string players across the board. Not much positive you can take from this game but they've got to move past it. They head back to Boston for Game 3 on Friday. Celtics need to come out and play a near perfect game and try to steal a game in front of our fans.

In the first half, the Celtics shot 9-17 from 3 which is fantastic but those numbers plummeted to 2-13 in the second half and both of our hits from 3 were in the final 2 minutes of play when the game was already out of reach. The effort was there but shots weren't falling in the second half. The two guys that actually played really solid games were Timelord and Smart. Timelord set a franchise record 9 blocks tonight and added 11pts 9reb and Smart added 17pts and 5ast. Defensively, these were the two guys that held things down and they got the job done offensively as well.

We are the clear underdogs in this matchup and the only chance we have of winning this series is if all of our guys are on top of their game. That certainly wasn't the case tonight as we saw BAD shooting nights from our 3 best offensive players. Tatum shot 6-20, Kemba shot 5-16 and Fournier shot 3-10 which is a combined 30% from the field. This type of performance is not going to get it done. It's definitely promising seeing the defensive intensity back with this team but we need to mesh that intensity with a fluid and efficient offensive game to make this series interesting.

We saw standout performances from Jayson Tatum (50pts 8reb 4ast) and Kemba Walker (29pts 7reb 2ast) as well as a really solid defensive performance from Marcus Smart. This is the Celtics team that so many of us have grown accustomed to watching and loving. With this win, we now have clinched the 7th seed and will face the Nets in the first round of the playoffs. The Knicks were still battling for the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference so they played all of their starters big minutes tonight and we rolled out our 2nd and 3rd string guys and battled hard for 48 minutes. There was certainly a lapse in the 2nd quarter but overall, this was a fun game to watch. We saw a lot of standout performances from guys we never see on the floor, none more important than Tremont Waters. Tremont looked phenomenal tonight, more specifically in the 4th quarter where he carried the team back to within 1. 

All season long, this team has been criticized (fairly) for the their lack of effort and heart on the court and today's game was so different. All of those end of the bench guys came out with a ton of energy and made this game fun to watch. I know Tatum and Fournier were there watching but I hope the rest of our starters that were resting were watching and taking notes because this is the type of energy we need from them moving forward.
