No Tatum, JB, Kemba, Smart, Timelord, Thompson and Fournier; No Problem? Okay well sort of a problem as the Celtics lose to the Knicks but this was as exciting a game as we have seen in some time. The Knicks were still battling for the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference so they played all of their starters big minutes tonight and we rolled out our 2nd and 3rd string guys and battled hard for 48 minutes. There was certainly a lapse in the 2nd quarter but overall, this was a fun game to watch. We saw a lot of standout performances from guys we never see on the floor, none more important than Tremont Waters. Tremont looked phenomenal tonight, more specifically in the 4th quarter where he carried the team back to within 1.
All season long, this team has been criticized (fairly) for the their lack of effort and heart on the court and today's game was so different. All of those end of the bench guys came out with a ton of energy and made this game fun to watch. I know Tatum and Fournier were there watching but I hope the rest of our starters that were resting were watching and taking notes because this is the type of energy we need from them moving forward.
