Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

The Serpent’s Hand is continuing to try to both help and educate the SCP Foundation regarding the dangers of The Scarlet King. As the keepers of the Infinite Library, they have a literal infinite amount of knowledge at their disposal.

The Scarlet King poses a threat that transcends time and space.

The Serpent’s Hand doesn’t believe it possible to defeat the Scarlet King, but possibly you can keep him out of this dimension. In order to do that, the first thing they must do is stop a cult from performing a ritual on a group of women.

The foundation sends a group of well to do warehouse guards to accomplish this task.

Who is this rag tag group of hoity toity professionals? What does this cult want with this group of women? What to do once the women are saved? When will Tristan learn how attacks of opportunity work? Tune in and find out!

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

The Serpent’s Hand has one last location for them to investigate. Unsure of what the meaning behind this is, the Foundation investigates. Of course, for some reason, they send some super swole priests…to Iraq to investigate the coordinates.

They land miles away in the desert, but when traveling on land, they find that the surrounding landscape changes drastically as they approach the coordinates. A barren desert becomes a lush forest.

In the far distance, however, are two items that are definitely up the Foundation’s alley. First is a portal in the sky, which looks like it may very well be to the mythical Garden of Eden. The second, is what is guarding the portal. A 1000 foot tall flaming angel, always standing at the ready.

Why did the Serpent’s Hand alert the Foundation of this anomaly? What are they trying to tell the SCP Foundation? Who is this rag tag group of swole priests sent on the mission? Who is this towering flaming entity? Why does the foundation have so many skilled monkeys? Tune in and find out!

  • 3 Brothers and An Old Man

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

The SCP Foundation has received a mysterious letter from the Serpent’s Hand. They desperately want the Serpent’s Hand to open up their Infinite Library to the SCP, but that organization isn’t exactly fond of them.

The letter directs them to remote location, so the Foundation, of course, sends a few friends of Dr. Franklinstein. They find a scene of complete destruction and death, but also another clue.

These clues lead them to a fairly unassuming old man. The man seems cordial, and has no problem going with the foundation. In fact, he wants them to help him with something.

Who is this old man? What sort of anomalous properties does he have? What does he want from the SCP Foundation? Can they help him? Did Dr. Franklinstein give work to more unqualified friends? Tune in and find out!

  • Too Many Olives

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

At some point, Dr. Franklinstein has to run out of friends. In this episode of “What Does Dr. Franklinstein’s Friend, Want This Time?” one of the leading sellers of lives in the Midwest calls with a dire request.

Apparently, someone in Damascus is growing and selling so many olives that it is throwing the entire olive industry off kilter. What makes it stranger is that this farm was unknown until recently, and the amount of land they own just doesn’t seem to match up with the amount of olives it produces.

Upon further investigation, it seems that this olive grove is a lot bigger than it looks. Due to a pocket dimension in the center of the grove.

Who is Dr. Franklinstein’s friend? What’s the deal with this pocket dimension? Is there anything other than olive trees there? Why did Dennis call Stephen’s character a piece of shit? Tune in and find out!

  • Picking Fights to the Death

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

A politician from New York City has contacted Dr. Franklinstein, because of course he knows someone in the city government. Dr. Franklinstein decides that he’s a little too busy for such things, and sends the next best thing…a group of “sandwich makers” in NYC.

As it turns out, someone has gone missing. A very important someone. These city folk go on the hunt to figure out what happened to this person and find them if possible.

However, as they dig deeper, they find that there’s something more sinister going on. And that something is tied in with the mob. Of course, the mob doesn’t take too kindly to it, and the sandwich makers have to figure out a way to escape the same fate.

Who is this missing person? Who are these sandwich makers? What happened to the missing person? Where could they be? Why pick a fight with a mob enforcer? What is horse gravy? Tune in and find out!

  • My Cousin Johnny

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

This is the first episode to drop in 2025! While the holiday celebrations may be over, in the world of SCP, there are still plenty of celebrations going around, like baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Ok, maybe celebrations isn’t exactly the right word to use. Oh, they’re also all catholic so you know they can be painfully long.

Well, good news! The length of time is not the most painful thing about the gatherings in this episode! Regardless of the ceremony covered, there seems to be a vaguely familiar family member. Should you ever find yourself at an event with such a figure, well, it’s probably too late at that point. Best of luck!

Who is this anomalous family member? What are his anomalous properties? Is there any difference between the three types of events? Is he containable? When is the Christmas Hog Cranking album coming out? Tune in and find out!

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

The holidays aren’t quite over just yet…and for the SCP Foundation, there is no such thing as time off. Why? Because anomalies don’t usually take time off either! In fact, some anomalies appear specifically around certain holidays.

In this episode, one such creature lurks between Christmas and New Years, looking for families with young children. They begin stalking them for weeks, getting closer and closer each day.

If the family doesn’t leave, they’ll soon come face to face with this anomalous monstrosity. One of two outcomes is possible. What will happen to this family?

What is this anomaly? How does it work? Who is this family? Will they find a way to survive? How much emotional damage will eating horrible food and listening to your parents try to make another you while you’re locked in the basement cause? Tune in and find out!

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

It is that festive time of year! Regardless of what holiday you celebrate, it’s that time of year! But what if there was a place where it was ALWAYS that time of year?

There exists a small portion of the suburbs just outside of El Paso Texas where all the citizens are extremely festive and cheerful. Always decorating, singing, giving gifts, and drinking eggnog.

If you ever find yourself in their company, be sure to match their cheer, and you better brush up on all your Christmas carol lyrics. Or else.

What’s the deal with this little community? What exactly is anomalous about them? Is there any way to stop their cheerfulness? What happens if you aren’t cheerful? How many Christmas carols can you convert into hog cranking songs? Tune in and find out!

  • Blood is Thicker Than Water

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

Canada has immense areas of beautifully dense forest. A malfunctioning plane finds itself crashing into the heart of one such forest. In an unlikely turn of luck, there are some survivors!

In the search for rescue, they discover a strange red pond. The water looks like…blood.

When they are finally rescued, their rescuers make sure the survivors don’t remember anything about their encounter, and they also lock down the pool of strange water as a new Foundation facility.

Upon experimenting, they learn quickly that the pond is not to be trifled with. Lurking in its depths there are horrors waiting to be released.

How did the passengers survive the crash? What is this red pool? What is inside of it? What’s lurking beneath the surface? Who has control of War Monkey? Tune in and find out!

  • Like Pulling Teeth

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast!

No one likes going to the dentist. Even the nicest dentist involves putting a bunch of hooks, picks, and what not into your mouth. Good intentions or not, it’s not a pleasant time.

A mysterious 24/7 dental office opens up and a few individuals find out just how bad the dentist office can possibly be. Something is very off with this office (aside from being open 24/7). The receptionist REALLY wants to see your teeth, and is always wearing a mask. The orderlies are HUGE and are also masked. They also don’t seem to know where the novacaine goes.

The doctor who you’ll be meeting eventually…well…he’s got some rather strange ideas as far as what kind of teeth ought to go in your mouth.

Who are the unfortunate souls to find this dentist office? What are its anomalous properties? Can this dentist office be stopped? Why are the players obsessed with the cranking of hogs? Tune in and find out!
