Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast! 

Our story begins, like other times this season, begin with a group of homeless people. This is a group of homeless that are searching abandoned areas in search for useful items.

However, these homeless end up finding a lot more than they were looking for. Finding themselves in a strange sound stage, they are now part of a game show where they can win fantastic prizes! If they’re lucky that is, if they aren’t, they won’t be making it out alive.

Who are these homeless people? What is the deal with this game show? What kind of games do they have? What prizes can you win? How will the SCP Foundation contain it? Who taught Phil English? Tune in and find out!

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast! 

We begin our story, as we often do, in a small town. Turns out, small towns are the easiest place for odd stuff to happen without drawing too much attention. Well, in this case, it’s not exactly a small town. It’s a little mining community in the middle of snow stricken lands. 

As we all know, the children yearn for the mines. One of these miners is about 12, but fret not, he’s been doing this job for about 6 or 7 years now, so he’s very experienced. He’s got the black lung of a much older man.

However, the machinery malfunctions, causing a small explosion. While there are only minor injuries, it is quickly apparent that the miners have been stricken with some sort of illness. Seems like just a normal case of the flu…until all the bleeding, and pulsating pustules. 

Why is there a child in this mine? What is this mysterious illness? What does it do to the body? Is there any way to contain it? Why should you never mess with a man’s copy of Goodnight Moon? Tune in and find out!

Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast! 

It seems no one is safe in the world of the SCP Foundation. Not even innocent college students in the suburbs of Massachusetts. Our story follows one particular college student as she just acquired a house next to some “scientists.”

However, not long after moving in, she begins to receive romantic letters regularly. These letters are sweet at first, but over time they become more and more deranged. Assisted by her neighbors, they try to ascertain the source of these letters. But, something just doesn’t seem to add up. And before too long, the situation turns deadly.

Who is sending the romantic letters? Does the student feel similarly to the writer of the letters? Is the neighbor really an astronaut? How does one make love to a mailbox? Tune in and find out!

Rumors around India indicate a city, far more advanced than it should be for the area, just popped up out of nowhere. This has led explorers to check it out and report back what they find. However, some people are looking to do more than just explore, but exploit! Those individuals seem to find something entirely different waiting for them in the city.

Later, the Foundation decides to investigate this vacant city, only to find it full and thriving! Even more mysterious is how these people came to live here in the first place. Invited by a strange charitable organization that does not exist.

Schools can be extremely stressful places. There are so many sources of stress including creepy janitors, peer pressure, and of course, tests. Sometimes that stress and anxiety can become…something else.

In this week’s story we find out just how bad anxiety can get in some people. This episode features Phil’s least favorite form of body horror: hand stuff!

For some reason there are 3 psychiatrists also moonlighting as college janitors. Lucky for them they find someone who appears to be completely out of their mind so they can get them to their facility.

What is the cause of this anxiety? What exactly is this person doing to deal with their anxiety? Who are these weird janitors? How much would a train car made of diamond cost and how would you even make it? Tune in and find out!

Castles are amazing places. Thought of in fantasy, but also existing in our own reality. Run down and forgotten castles hold untold mysteries and possibilities of adventure. But, maybe they hide other things…

In this instance, some very…adventurous explorers check out this castle for…reasons. They are successful in their mission (to the detriment of us all), but decide to investigate the lower levels.

Hiding in the depths of the castle is a dungeon. But of course, this is no ordinary dungeon. At first, it just seems abandoned, but it seems to seek out certainly guilty parties and punish them as it sees fit.

Who are these explorers? Why are they in this castle? What is up with this anomalous dungeon? How good is Dennis’ Mr. Rogers impression? Tune in and find out!

There seems to be an awful lot of strange goings on in small town America. In the smallest of towns, the folks find one of their fellow townsfolk murdered! They all suspect who is behind it. That new guy, the grifter who they just noticed.,

Sure, they claim to actually be the one who was murdered, and maybe some of the other folks say the same…but the townsfolk know the truth! And justice must be delivered!

The Foundation catches wind of these strange occurrences and decides to try to save one of these people and investigate the anomaly fully.

If the victim isn’t actually the victim, who is it? Why do most townsfolk believe the target of their justice is some stranger and not the person they know? How does this anomaly work? A group of SCP Foundation field agents are sent to Hoboken, New Jersey to investigate the disappearance of a 20 year old man.

The field agents are given no information before arriving and it isn’t quite clear what is anomalous about this disappearance.

After terrorizing the poor family of the victim, these top notch investigators take it upon themselves to investigate the surrounding area. While doing so, they terrorize children, bother a technical institute, and make fools of themselves. However, after they find out who the missing person actually is, they realize the absolute horror of their mistakes.

Who is this missing person? What happened to them? Who are these investigators? What did they do? Why is the protocol for avoiding responsibility at the SCP to just shoot the phone? Tune in and find out!
