Tthis one is all about boundaries, burnout, and finally saying what people don’t want to hear.
In this episode of Ask The Black Kids, we react to our first-ever submission from the OBK subreddit 👀 and it comes in hot with a simple message: start paying me… or get out. The question is, is that standing on business… or going too far?
Then we get into a situation where someone is questioning if they’re wrong for ending a friendship, and another Classmate who feels like they’ve been setting an example for everyone else… at their own expense.
At some point, you have to ask yourself… when does supporting people turn into draining yourself?
We also get into School Snacks, another round of Toxic Confessions, and a bigger conversation around what it actually means to be tired of showing up for people who don’t show up for you.
Some of these situations are real. Some are uncomfortable. And some might have you rethinking who you keep around you.
Welcome back to Only Black Kids in the Class.
