If you’ve written off the idea of ever engaging a volume builder because of the stigma or the cookie cutter approach, it might be worth revisiting. The systems and processes for volume builders have become a lot more sophisticated in recent years and while they might not be for everyone, they certainly are a fantastic option for some.
We’ve got Melanie Wessner on the show today, who is our admin angel here at BuildHer Collective. Melanie is also a qualified interior stylist with a great sense of style and she’s here to talk about her journey engaging a volume builder for her family home and the process she went through to arrive at this choice.
Melanie talks through the details of her od shaped block and the existing 2 bedroom house that needed a lot of work. After a lengthy process deciding whether to renovate or knock down and rebuild, Melanie and her husband eventually opted to engage a volume builder. Melanie shares the thoughts behind this process and how it was a really positive move that suited her family.
We’ve all seen those suburbs filled with houses that look exactly the same, but volume builds have come a long way. If you are time poor, unable to afford an architect or perhaps your particular block of land is a turn off for some builders, a volume builder might just be for you. Take a look through a showroom and you’ll be surprised by the quality of designs, floorplans and finishes available now.
As always, we’re here to help however we can on your building journey so come say hi!
