Although this was originally meant to wrap up the book “Think Like a Monk”, the broscience was strong in this episode. With John back in the gym, the gain train was first in line.
John and Alen have a very deep bro-to-bro talk all revolving around how important gains really are.
New diets are starting to be developed because the need to put on “mass on a budget” no longer exists as the bros evolve.
The broscience starts flowing and the brain pump is sick this time as the bros embrace the good that chasing aesthetics can bring to everyone.
This is a new generation of broscience, as they come to terms that the bro way of eating made them adaptable to all situations because nothing is that serious as long as you go to the gym, do your fucking chores, and don’t over-do the cheat meals. #broscience
The broness gets embraced when they share their thoughts on high fat diets, the myths about calories from fat, and the side effects on the physique. One thing is for sure: things are better when they are lean, and having a lean physique is now a choice...and they choose to be lean every single time.
Natural body building cause them to learn delayed gratification and the power of personal responsibility. The massive lesson came when they talked about body dysmorphia and how it can be a tool which makes people chase health and prosper, as well as a dark side that could easily lead to unhealthy habits, improper drug use, and poor mental health.
Just like any sick gym session, cardio was also a conversation piece as John and Alen discuss different ways of doing cardio that are untraditional options for the average gym bro, but its all because of the perspective of the activity.
They wrap things up with gratitude for bodybuilding and the flexibility that it brings in terms of time, structure, and lifestyle, and how being a gym bro is both a perk and a luxury.
They cover the remaining chapters of “Think Like a Monk”:
Gratitude
* The bros are grateful for their commitment to bodybuilding because now, they have close to 10 years of lifting experience, combined with the compounded knowledge that they can now truly appreciate the beauty of muscle memory.
Relationships
* John and Alen have been friends for over 8 years, started through their passion for bodybuilding and the constant pursuit of achieving their ideal physique.
Service
* 10 years of experience in figuring out how to get the best results in fitness and other areas of life is what the bros bring every episode. They had to take each other under their wings at times but for the most part the had to learn how to do a lat spread by themselves. The service they bring to the world is their experiences; they had to figure out how to do one more rep, and sometimes that’s all it takes.
On the next episode they will begin covering the new book called
“Designing the Mind: The Principles of Psychitecture”
Its going to be fucking sick!
