Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of North Carolina on two felony counts stemming from a social media post he made last year. Comey is charged with Knowingly and willfully threatening the President of the United States and transmitting a threat in interstate commerce. Both charges relate to an Instagram photo Comey posted in May 2025 showing seashells arranged to read “86 47”.
