Ohio State wants to play football beginning next month, and today we will likely find out if the Buckeyes will be able to do that or not. As first reported by Bucknuts, the Big Ten's presidents and chancellors are expected to hold a vote today that will determine if the football season can begin in October. Are we confident the correct outcome will happen?
Jonah Booker joins Dave Biddle to discuss that in detail on the Friday 5ish.
Are we on the verge of the biggest mulligan in college sports history?
Maybe.
Hopefully.
Our Dave Biddle broke the story and we discuss the Big Ten's possible vote on football - or is it revote? - planned for either Friday and Saturday.
Will there be a fall season?
247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong is here to discuss current events as well the battle for No. 1 between Ohio State and Alabama for the Class of 2021 recruiting crown.

Is momentum building toward an October start to the Big Ten's football season? Well, it's already September, so the wheels better get turning faster. But at least they seem to be in motion. On Tuesday, President Trump and Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren spoke on the phone, and Trump later tweeted that the Big Ten is "on the 1-yard line" when it comes to playing football this fall. The Big Ten then called it a "productive call" between the two men.
Are we getting our hopes up for nothing, or could Big Ten football really begin next month? Matt Baxendell joins Dave Biddle to discuss all of that, plus converse about Ohio State's latest commitment in its 2022 class: tight end Bennett Christian.
All of that and more is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish.
We now know - for sure - Ohio State was among the Big Ten schools that wanted to play football ... on time. Iowa and Nebraska also get a fruit basket. The other 11 conference members? Time to start crafting an excuse for your respective fanbases.

Just when you thought things could not get more ridiculous in the Big Ten, word leaked that the conference is now considering starting its football season in late November of this year. Because, obviously if it's not safe to play in September it would be safe to play in late November. Do you feel the sarcasm there?
Steve Helwagen joins Dave Biddle to discuss the latest craziness in the Big Ten, the great job by Ohio State's football parents at Saturday's rally outside Ohio Stadium, and senior defensive tackle Haskell Garrett thankfully being in stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the face on Saturday.
All of that and more is on the Monday 5ish.
Eight Nebraska players are suing the Big Ten for canceling the fall football season, which means we are now big Cornhusker fans. Jonah Booker joins Dave Biddle to discuss that, whether Ohio State's players might follow suit, the Buckeyes landing four-star defensive tackle Tyleik Williams and much more on the 5ish.
Will Ohio State add another prized recruit today? 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong is here with the absolute latest on defensive lineman Tyliek Williams, who is announcing his commitment later today.
Will the Big Ten's decision to not play this fall affect the NFL future of Justin Fields, Shaun Wade, Wyatt Davis, Chris Olave and a host of others? We ask Dane Brugler, The Athletic's NFL Draft expert that question and he answers in detail.

Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren is receiving most of the blame for the conference canceling its fall football season. But some fans have said the university presidents are the ones who should be taking the heat from the public. Because if they wanted Big Ten football this fall, there would be Big Ten football.
But the same is true for Warren. If he wanted football to be played in the Big Ten this fall, there would be Big Ten football this fall.
The point is both things are true, and Matt Baxendell joins Dave Biddle on today's show to explain why.
Also, is Bax holding out any hope that the Big Ten will reverse course and play this fall? Especially when they see high school kids playing this Friday in Ohio?
To close the show, we discuss how all of this might impact Ohio State's recruiting, if at all.
All of that and much more is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish.
When it comes to recruiting, Ohio State's staff is not big on wasting time. Or harboring negativity. So they have wasted little time moving on from Tunmise Adeleye's decommitment. That brings us to Virginia native Tyliek Williams, a 300-pound plus defensive tackle. Is he a fallback plan? Not at all. Duane Long is here to talk Williams, Florida offensive lineman with an offer and the next Ryan Shazier on the radar? Spend 5ish with us today, 'Nutters.
Randy Wade continues to fight the good fight. Will it work? We shall see, but regardless, he deserves a lot of respect for what he is doing. The Dean of Ohio State Football Recruiting, Bill Kurelic, joins Dave Biddle to talk about that.
And the crux of the show deals with, you guessed it, recruiting. Bill gives you the latest intel on the top uncommitted recruits on Ohio State's board in the 2021 class. Also, will the Buckeyes hold off Alabama for the No. 1 recruiting class in the country? And what does OSU plan on doing at offensive line if it misses out on its primary remaining targets?
All of that and more is coming your way on the Monday 5ish.
