Randy Wade, the father of Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade, is organizing a protest at the Big Ten offices in Rosemont, Illinois, today, and he is expected to be joined by several other parents of Big Ten football players. Now the question is whether Wade's protest will work.
Dan Rubin joins Dave Biddle for a special edition of the Friday 5ish to give thoughts on the protest and what might come out of it. Also, is a winter/spring season a viable option? Could all of this negatively affect the Buckeyes' recruiting?
All of that and more is coming your way on the Friday 5ish.
We have something interesting to feature today: positivity.
That's because we are talking recruiting. That's because we have 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong here.
Our topics:

* Dasan McCullough joined the fold. Wiltfong's Crystal Ball was first. He opines without gloating.
* Kiyaunte Goodwin could be the most impressive Class of 2022 lineman and likes the Buckeyes.
* Has Ohio State found its next elite defensive end for the lineage?

Just when we were ready to give up on the idea of Ohio State playing football this fall, Jeff Snook reported late Tuesday night that Gene Smith and Ohio State are leading a charge to try and get a total of six Big Ten teams to play a 10-game, round-robin schedule that would begin in October. Will this plan work? Matt Baxendell joins Dave Biddle on today's show to discuss this idea in detail and whether it's possible it will happen.
Also, the Buckeyes picked up a commitment from high four-star athlete Dasan McCullough on Tuesday, adding to their already-impressive 2022 recruiting class.
All of that and more is in store for you on the Wednesday 5ish.
Pee wee? Check. High school? Check. NFL? Check. Ohio State? Checked out. Four levels of football in Ohio and as of now only the Buckeyes will be sidelined. Is this possible? Oh, and will Ohio State also have to watch as SEC, ACC and Big 12 teams actually ... you know ... play football? We hit that and then skew positive to talk recruiting with Duane Long. Spend 5ish with us this a.m., 'Nutters.

Justin Fields is throwing a proverbial hail mary to try and save the Big Ten's 2020 football season. The Ohio State junior quarterback started a petition on Sunday urging the Big Ten to reinstate the season immediately, and the petition already has over a quarter-million signatures. Can this work?
Patrick Murphy joins Dave Biddle to talk about the biggest story in the sports world today.
It has been three days since the Big Ten canceled the 2020 football season and we are still going through the stages of grief. Spoiler alert: Acceptance has still not arrived on the radar. Jonah Booker joins Dave Biddle for the Friday 5ish to talk about the conference's decision, what it means for Ohio State moving forward, who will be the next starting quarterback for the Buckeyes when they do play again and much more.
How will Ohio State's recruiting be impacted by the Big Ten's decision to not play football this fall? Steve Wiltfong joins Dave Biddle to give his insights on that and much more on today's show.
The news we all feared came down on Tuesday as the Big Ten canceled its 2020 football season. Matt Baxendell joins Dave Biddle to sift through the wreckage on the Wednesday 5ish.
The Big Ten was reportedly on the verge of canceling its 2020 football season on Monday, until an avalanche of backlash came the conference's way. There were even head coaches in the Big Ten threatening to leave for a different conference for this season if the Big Ten called off it season. The Big Ten's presidents will meet today at 10:30 a.m. and a decision is expected after that.
What will the outcome of the meeting be? And what exactly happened on Monday with all of the information (and misinformation) that was out there?
Duane Long joins Dave Biddle for that and much more on the Tuesday 5ish.
The 2020 college football season appears to be in limbo after a weekend meeting among the commissioners and presidents of the Power 5 athletic conferences. Several outlets have reported that momentum is building to cancel or postpone the season. Meanwhile, droves of college football players and parents across the country have expressed their desire to play. Which begs the question: Why is what the players and their parents want seemingly being ignored by college administrators?
Bill Kurelic joins Dave Biddle to discuss all of that on today's show, and of course we talk a lot about recruiting as well.
