Today we have the return of the DeanCast.
Our guest today is longtime West Coast recruiting insider Brandon Huffman from 247Sports. Nobody knows recruits better in the state of Washington than Huffman.
On today’s show we talk:
** Where the Buckeyes stand with 5-star WR Emeka Egbuka
** Huffman talks D-lineman J.T. Tuimoloau and Ohio State
** WR Gee Scott Jr. and his potential with the Buckeyes
** Ohio State West Coast recruiting
** And more with Huffman, who has 20-plus years West Coast recruiting experience!
How do you provide infotainment to the people when there is no actual sports going on?
You turn things over to The Front Row. So that's what we did. We asked Bucknutters to submit questions for 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong.
Here is the result.
The news that running back Trey Sermon is coming off a torn LCL -- and not a torn ACL -- is very good news for Sermon and Ohio State. We already had relatively high expectations for the Oklahoma transfer, but now our hopes have risen further. The People's Champ, Matt Baxendell, joins Dave Biddle to discuss that, plus:
* Could the 2020 college football season be shortened? Or heavens forbid, canceled? How would a shortened season work?
* Ohio State's 2021 recruiting class could go down as the best ever. Not just at OSU, period. Let's talk about it.
* Rutgers is out-recruiting Michigan? Rutgers is out-recruiting Michigan!
All of that and more is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish.
Duane Long is here as we aim to provide an infotaining respite to your day.
Ryan Day can recruit. He can close. But wasn't Urban Meyer the ultimate closer? Has Day approached that level?
We get into it.
Also: Archie or Zeke?
You will get the picture.

Which highly-rated 2021 recruit does Bill Greene think is basically "in the class" for Ohio State? Well, you will have to listen to the show to find out. Bank joins Dave Biddle to give a rundown on some of the top 2021 recruits on the Buckeyes' board that have not publicly committed yet. Cliff's Notes: OSU's recruiting momentum won't be slowing down anytime soon and Bank tells you all about it.
Also, running back Trey Sermon apparantly tore his LCL -- not his ACL -- and that is very good news.
And of course the Buckeyes landed the No. 1 running back in the country, TreVeyon Henderson on Friday, even if that might feel like it was four months ago.
All of that and more is coming your way on a lengthy edition of the Monday 5ish.
Will Friday be TreVeyon Henderson day across Buckeye Nation? The 5-star running back is expected to announce his decision at 7 p.m. ET today and Ohio State appears to be in the driver's seat. Jonah Booker drops by for his usual Friday visit to talk all things Henderson, plus:
* What affect might the current hiatus have on Ohio State's football team in 2020?
* What stood out to JBook regarding Ryan Day's Wednesday teleconference?
* Might be the Buckeyes look to add a defensive back to their 2020 roster via the transfer portal?
All of that and more is in store for you on the Friday 5ish.
Crystal Balls rolled hard for TreVeyon Henderson to join Ohio State's Class of 2021 fold. Refreshing of whatever info delivery machine you opt for was persistent.
Then ... crickets.
Should we be worried? Is the nation's No. 1 running back not the future Buckeye we thought he was?
247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong is here to calm your nerves, let you know how the Class of 2021 will close and brings info on a current Buckeye that has us more optimistic about said player's future than we have been in a while.

One of the biggest questions we get at Bucknuts is what is the football team doing right now. On today's show, we answer that question and much more as The People's Champ, Matt Baxendell, drops by for his usual Wednesday visit. Also on the docket:
* The local media will have a teleconference with Ohio State head coach Ryan Day this afternoon. What are we anxious to hear from the Buckeyes' boss the most? What are you most curious about?
* Are the Buckeyes a lock to land 5-star RB TreVeyon Henderson? Or is that going a bit too far?
* Let's talk about the elephant in the room: Will we have football in 2020? Might we have a shorten season that removes non-conference games? Or might everything be back to normal long before then?
* What are thoughts on the NCAA not granting an extra year of eligibility to 2019-20 winter athletes who did not get a chance to compete for their various championships?
All of that and more is in store for you on the Wednesday 5ish.
The additions have come almost daily. Ryan Day and Co. are complementing the roster with elite talent like it's routine.
Need a veteran running back to complement the room? How about Trey Sermon?
Need an elite back to build around? How about the nation's best?
Defensive tackle? Again ... the nation's best?
You get the point. Things on the trail are quite good.
Who will join the crew?
Duane Long is here to put it all in perspective. Can you handle this much positive news at once given our current situation?
We are bout to find out. Spend 5ish with us this a.m., 'Nutters!
Tony Alford is probably sitting around listening to the classic track "How ya like me now?" The Ohio State running backs coach is on fire when it comes to RB recruiting, including landing the best back on the grad transfer market in Trey Sermon. He's also landed 2021 RB recruit Evan Pryor, and TreVeyon Henderson will likely be next. And that will probably happen very soon.
Bill "Bank" Greene joins Dave Biddle on today's show to talk all about the Buckeyes suddenly being in very good shape with running backs, both in the present and the future.
All of that and more is coming your way on the Monday 5ish.
