These are crazy times, but thank goodness for Ohio State football recruiting and NFL free agency to keep us from going insane. The People's Champ, Matt Baxendell, joins Dave Biddle for today's show to discuss the Buckeyes' phenomenal 2021 recruiting class, including Tuesday's commitment of 4-star defensive back Andre Turrentine from Nashville. Also on the docket:
* Ohio State now has 14 commitments and is the No. 1 class in the country by a wide margin. How great will the 2021 class end up being for Ryan Day and the Buckeyes?
* Is the nation's No. 1 running back, TreVeyon Henderson, going to be next to join OSU's class? The Crystal Ball picks sure look good for Tony Alford and OSU.
* What does Bax think about the Buckeyes perhaps landing grad transfer RB Trey Sermon from Oklahoma?
* Tom Brady is a Buc. A Tampa Bay Buc. And that is pretty wild. Will he be successful at the age of 43 and without Bill Belichick? And if you're an NFL fan, how much fun was it yesterday to keep hitting refresh on your browser to see the latest deals?
All of that and more is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish.
Yes, the world has hit pause.
That is, except for Ohio State recruiting.
Since Sunday, Ohio State has added three prospects and will end today with another standout joining the fold.
What do we make of such dominance?
Duane Long is here to put it all in perspective.

The sports world is on hiatus for now, but nothing is slowing down Ohio State's football recruiting momentum. Bill "Bank" Greene joins Dave Biddle for today's show to discuss the Buckeyes landing high 4-star cornerback Jakailin Johnson on Sunday. That gives OSU 11 commitments in its 2021 class, which is ranked as the No. 1 class in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite.
Also on the docket:
* Is today going to be another big recruiting day for the Buckeyes? Perhaps even bigger than Sunday?
* What is the latest with corner recruit Devonta Smith and running back recruit Evan Pryor?
* Running back Trey Sermon is transferring from Oklahoma and will be eligible immediately as a senior in 2021. Bank has put in a Crystal Ball pick for the Buckeyes to land Serman. Even coming off a torn ACL, is Sermon-to-Ohio State a perfect fit for both sides?
All of that and more is coming your way on the Monday 5ish.
It is what no one wanted to happen, but putting the NCAA Tournament on hold this year was the right call. However, did the NCAA need to completely call off the tournament, or could it have postponed it for the time being much like what the NBA is doing?
Steve Helwagen joins Dave Biddle on a very fitting Friday the 13th to talk about the sports zombieland we have entered and what might happen from here. What will OSU's football players be doing with spring ball canceled?
All of that and more is in store for you on a very sobering edition of the Friday 5ish.
This is not your typical BM5. But these are not typical times.
Amid cancellations and rampant uncertainty with what is coming next, 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong joined the show to try and make some sense of the situation.
How will the COVID-19 precautions affect college sports?
Ohio State has shut down football recruiting until at least April 20. The men's basketball Big Ten Tournament ... will it even take place?
Spend 5ish with Steve and Dan this a.m.
There are a lot of good discussions currently happening on the bustling Front Row message board. On today's show, the People's Champ, Matt Baxendell, joins Dave Biddle to talk about some of the interesting topics that Buckeyes fans are discussing. Specifically:
* Ohio State now has four assistant coaches making over $1 million per season. Are assistant coaching salaries out of control in college football since the athletes don't get paid beyond their scholarship benefits? Or is this no different than any other business?
* Might there be no fans at Ohio State's spring game due to fears of the COVID-19 virus? Is that where we're headed?
* With the Buckeyes winning 18 of the last 20 games -- and eight in a row -- what is the state of the OSU-Michigan rivalry? Does anyone outside of Buckeye fans and Wolverine fans believe it is still the best rivalry in sports? But as long as Ohio State is dominating, should OSU fans even care?
* Has Cade Stover found a long-term home at the tight end position?
All of that and more is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish.
Ohio State can already see it's Class of 2020 haul at wide receiver is living up to the hype. Having Justin Fleming, Gee Scott, Jr., Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Mookie Cooper together only added to the growing Brian Hartline lore.
But the lore already exists regarding defensive line guru Larry Johnson. Duane Long is here to tell you why said lore will only get more glorious for the nation's premiere developer of defensive line talent. The Class of 2021 defensive line group could rival the aforementioned quartet of pass catchers.
And that's not all.
What will the secondary haul look like?
These are all questions Duane is equipped to answer. So he did.

What is the latest on running back recruiting for Ohio State? Specifically, 2021 RBs TreVeyon Henderson, Donovan Edwards, Evan Pryor and Corey Kiner.
Bill "Bank" Greene joins Dave Biddle for today's show to discuss that, plus:
* What is the latest on defensive line recruiting for the Buckeyes?
* What about defensive back recruiting?
* With the Master Teague's injury, what will OSU's 2020 RB room look like? Will the Buckeyes definitely look in the portal for a running back? Or might they be content with what they already have?
All of that and more is coming your way on the Monday 5ish.
