As a result of the pandemic and the quote-unquote Great Resignation, a lot of folks have decided to go online, to go independent, and to leave their full-time jobs to pursue freelancing, small business ownership, or entrepreneurship. I think a lot of these things are one and the same.

Unfortunately, I see a lot of folks use the term "freelancer" as something lesser-than. Something lesser-than a business owner, lesser-than an entrepreneur, and that's not necessarily the case. We're going to touch on that today with my friend Lisa Cumes.

Lisa is a freelance copywriter and StoryBrand Guide who has built a multiple 6-figure online copywriting agency over the past 4 years. Last year, she shifted and scaled her business by bringing on a team of copywriters to help more businesses and personal brands simplify their message and streamline their content marketing.

She also has a passion for helping freelancers stop hustling and start building thriving full time businesses. She coaches other freelancers through Full Thrive Freelancing with online courses, coaching, and free webinars. And as a mom of three kids, she knows how to navigate mommy guilt to actually be productive working from home.

I talk with Lisa about what it means to be a freelancer and, if you are a freelancer, what are the best ways to find really good clients and build your business so that it is sustainable, not just a side hustle, because you can actually make an entire career out of freelancing.
