Over the past few years, things have changed rapidly. During covid there was an influx of people thinking about their homes, and deciding to build and renovate, which meant that architects, design teams and builders were completely booked up. Then, combing high demand and material shortages, everyone in the industry was pushed to the limit and we saw a lot of fear, stress and panic playing out.
Now, things have stabilised somewhat and we’re starting to see the industry calm down. I share some statistics from building and construction approvals across Australia and talk about what this means for the building industry and for those of you with a project on the horizon.
