Bullpen meltdowns and the inability for the Chicago White Sox to put it all together cause a series loss to the Marlins. The White Sox (29-38) had opportunities to not only win the series but sweep the Miami Marlins. Joe Kelly had an epic 9th inning collapse out of the bullpen during Game 2 on Saturday while Tim Anderson made matters worse by once again misplaying a routine groundball. Sox had the lead in the series finale and Keynan Middleton and Kendall Graveman gave up a four run lead in the 8th and 9th innings. Liam Hendriks went on the 15-day injured list prior to the finale and the Sox called up Tanner Banks. White Sox starting pitching was solid against the Marlins. Eighteen innings from Dylan Cease, Michael Kopech and Lucas Giolito while only giving up two earned runs. Sox now head out west to face the Los Angeles Dodgers.
