The duel between the Liberals and Conservatives in Canada's federal election this Monday is shaping up to be a close one. Led by Prime Minister Mark Carney, the Liberals were struggling at the beginning of January but are now in leading in the polls ahead of Pierre Poilièvre's Conservatives, against the backdrop of a trade war and threats of annexation by US President Donald Trump.
