The NBA crowned a new champion on Monday night as the Nuggets predictably dropped the Heat, making light work of them in 5 games. Even still, is Nikola Jokic one of the most under-appreciated players in the hobby?

Also, we have entered a bit of a slow period in sports, or as Lou would call it "baseball time"... but before we all know it, the National will arrive and then NFL training camp will be back! This will likely go down as the weirdest and most random 20 minutes to start a show that we've ever had in our 147 studio recordings, with all topics in play. We're talking:

What a week in sports!

The Heat blew a 3-0 lead... but somehow managed to win game 7 in Boston! The NHL Finals will be played in Las Vegas for the first time ever as the Golden Knights get set to battle the Florida Panthers for the Stanley Cup. Soccer has been BONKERS with some wild relegations and promotions coming.

It was also a wild week in sports cards.

A Barry Bonds card broke the record for most expensive Bonds card ever sold. Panini found themselves in a bit of a scandal as a redemption card was sold on eBay that (allegedly) the rightful owner was still waiting on them to fulfill. How will that end?!

Penn State lacrosse was more robbed than not robbed. Taylor Swift came to New Jersey where her #1 day 1 fan Aaron Rodgers took in all the scenes. Summer is officially BACK. The National is coming. All is well!

It finally happened. MPJ has carried the Denver Nuggets to the NBA Finals just as Tyler said he would for the past 3 years :)

Denver appears to be on a collision course to meet up with the MIAMI HEAT, who at the time of this recording hold a commanding 3-0 lead on Ryan's Celtics. Is Himmy Butler the most underrated player ever?

Also, Fanatics acquired PWCC this week... what does that mean for the hobby? Ryan attended the Panini Rookie Premier in Los Angeles and noticed something interesting out there that might not be so great for the hobby. The entire team places an absurd bet that is basically a donation to our favorite sports book.

The NBA and NHL playoffs have now entered the Conference Finals. What do we know?

1. The Knicks and Devils are out. It was a good week for the Reverse ParJay.

2. Connor McDavid will again not be competing for a Stanley Cup.

3. The Celtics dominated game 7 against Philly, with Jayson Tatum putting up an all-time performance.

4. Himmy Buckets is that guy.

5. LeBron vs Jokic is going to be one hell of a series.

Also, the NBA Draft Lottery will have happened by the time this episode comes out... but how good is Victor Wembanyama going to be and will he completely turn the franchise lucky enough to land him around? Ja Morant appeared to have ANOTHER gun on Instagram live. Will he get a long suspension and what sort of impact will this all have on his cards?

There was some huge news this week from the auction houses, as the Michael Jordan game worn flu game sneakers already has an $800k bid with 30 days to go, while a PSA 8.5 Bill Russell rookie card just sold for $660k.

The NFL plans on streaming a playoff game on Peacock this year, Flawless Basketball is set to release this week with some new Logomans (Logomen?) to chase, the National countdown is back, and Victor Wembanyama showed off an inscription "the first card I ever signed" on Michael Rubin's Twitter.

This is one of the greatest times of the year in sports.

The NHL and NBA Playoffs are approaching the conference championship rounds. In basketball, the Knicks fading, the Lakers are rising and the winner of the Nuggets vs Suns series appearing to be on target to win it all.

On the ice, the Oilers and Connor McDavid are playing their hearts out for their #1 day 1 fan, Ryan Johnson, the Devils are trying to fight back from another 2-0 deficit and the Panthers are making light work of Toronto.

Also, Bronny James announced his plans to attend USC, Evan Mathis is trimming cards and posting it for all to see, Fanatics Live launched their social media accounts this week, Bowman Inception University gets set to release with some VERY interesting autos including Victor Wembanyama and Caitlin Clark, and Connor Bedard is headed to Chicago (home of the 2023 National).

The boys are back in studio talking all things NFL Draft! How will three qb's in the top 4 picks effect the card market? Will 2023 product be one of the hottest ever? Who are the underrated and overrated picks to come out in this class?

Also, the NBA playoffs 2nd round kicked off with the Knicks and Heat revisiting their old rivalry... Dillon Brooks took a big L against LeBron after talking all that nonsense... and now the Lakers have a matchup for the ages against Steph and the Warriors. Tyler's Nuggets are locked in and the Celts lost to an Embiid-less 76ers squad last night.

In the NHL, the Jay's Devils predictably took down Tyler's Rangers in game 7, advancing to play the team that knocked out Lou's Islanders (Carolina).. and Ryan's Oilers also moved on in the Western Conference. Some might say that an Oilers vs Devils Stanley Cup finals is looming - with Jack Hughes and Connor McDavid taking center stage.

Erling Haaland is on fire, Giannis lost but it wasn't a failure... the Mavs should take note of what the Heat are doing and actually try to make the playoffs next time.... and finally Netflix released "Goldin Touch: King of Collectibles" and it was a really fun watch.
