We all know we should move and use our bodies more, right?
But who has time for that?
What if you don't have the time to NOT get active?
Join me in this episode as I discuss how physical activity (it doesn't have to be crossfit!) is critical for our health - and not only physical.
Physical activity radically changes how you feel (emotional), how you think (psychological), and even your connection to God! This will change your life.
"Most people lead lives of quiet desperation" - henry David Thoreau
Are you one of them?
Most of us are, at least at some moments.
But you don't have to be!
If you want to radically change how you treat your wife, your children, your coworkers and friends (and maybe even yourself), you should come check this out. I call it the Masters program.
https://catholiclifecoachformen.com/masters/
I can promise you it will change your life - if you are willing to do the hard work. But you don't have to take my word for it.
Join me in this episode and discover if you have similar struggles to the men I've helped before. Desperation is not the goal that God made you for.
You know the scene. The husband and wife are having a difference of opinion. Both of them know full well there is a quiet disagreement happening right now. After a dark look, she responds with "we're fine, you get going!"
But what do those words really mean?
If you are like most husbands, those words seem to echo far deeper into our identities - am I a bad husband? Are we just going to keep fighting later? I guess there's no chance of meeting in the bedroom later.
We can be crushed - not by what was said, but instead by a meaning that doesn't come from the actual words, but from our thoughts.
Join me in this episode as I discuss how our thoughts regularly create deeper, scarier, and often unintended meanings from other peoples words. We all do it - and well suffer when we do.
You are always free to choose how you show up. This is real responsibility.
Do you feel stalled in your job?
Do you keep hitting your head against the wall?
Maybe it's time to try something different.
Whether you work for a large corporation or own your own business, the secret to your success is not something you can buy. You already have it.
The secret to your success is your mind - but you have to use it well!
Join me in this episode to learn some practical advice for how to think differently in order to be more productive and impactful in whatever job you have.
Every guy dreams of slaying the dragon.
Or maybe just winning "Dad of the year" award.
But that's never the first step.
The first step in any great accomplishment, achievement, or life improvement is tiny. So is the next step. And the one after that.
We have to learn to celebrate all these little victories, or we'll never reach the big ones.
Join me in this episode as I break open the idea of focusing on the littlest battles as the primary way to make real changes in our lives. If you want to win at life, listen in.
Lust is rampant. Pornography addictions likely affect somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of all Americans. We're all suffering from the damage done by this problem.
But there is an even deeper problem with the sins of Lust - We Christians shame the sinners in a way that is not Godly.
Join me in this episode as I explore a proper way to look at one's struggle with lust - whether pornography or otherwise. While never approving the sin, we all need to find a way to love and care for the sinner. Judgement, condemnation, and labelling only make the problem worse, and cause even more hurt.
If you struggle with lust, or know someone who does, this is a powerful message that has changed the lives of many men.
Mental illness is a real problem that affects a significant number of people.
But we don't even want to think about it, let alone deal with it!
Worse, it's one of the only illnesses that we "define" a person by. We never say "He's a broken arm" or "He's a heart-attack" but we do say "He's bipolar."
What does this do to our Christian brothers and sisters who are so reduced?
In this episode I am joined by Deacon Ed Shoener. We discuss the problem of mental illness, what we can do as Christians, and some of the details of the institute that deacon helped build. This is life changing information!

We would all love a manual for our wife. Wouldn't it be great if they could just operate the way that works for us?
Does anyone actually think that would work? Or would a guy just be sleeping on the couch?
The funny thing is we do have manuals. We just don't share them.
And no...they aren't helpful.
Join me in this episode as I go over how to be free from placing expectations on your spouse. Free to love, free to serve, free to be an awesome husband.
Every husband needs this.
Father Michael Zimmerman is the assistant Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of Boston, and the creator of the new Scivias film series. His goal is to help every Catholic do a better job of discerning the will of God - whether to a particular vocation of the priesthood, or in general in life.
In this episode, we discuss what we can do as practicing Catholics to really get back into touch with God's will. Whether you're a young man trying to discern a vocation, a married man trying to raise children, or an older gentleman trying to figure out what is next, Father Michael has advice for you!

We don't talk about despair much...even though we all have plenty of reason to fall into it.
Perhaps you've tried for years (or decades) to break free of some vice or shortcoming that has plagued you since childhood.
Perhaps despite intensive (herculean) efforts, you cannot seem to do what you think God wants you to...like really loving and serving your wife.
Join me in this episode as I dive into the topic of despair. What is it, and more importantly...what do we do about it?
You are not alone.
