This week we analyze Ikigai- the Japanese secret to a long and happy life. One of the secrets focuses on the importance of community. Most of the blue zones, places where people live to be over 100, are islands and thus close-knit communities. Another suggestion was to eat until one is only 80% full. The book also recommends doing a lot of things, but one thing at a time. Lastly, start your day with a ritual and end with a reward.

Have you heard of Third Culture Kids? In this week’s episode we discuss what being a Third Culture Kid means as we talk about our experience of finding our identity. We address the challenges we faced as TCKs and our struggles of answering “Where are you from?” But we also address the benefits of being TCKs and not attaching our sense of belonging to a place. As Erika says: “the suffering stops when you accept who you are.”
