  • How to make things simpler

“My goal is no longer to get more done, but rather to have less to do.”

    - Francine Jay

    Making things simpler can be…simple.

Keeping it simple helps you get very clear on what it is you want and the outcome you’d like to have.

This enables you to keep the confusion (and inaction) to a minimum, build your problem solving skills and save yourself time in the long run.

Our brains looooooove to complicate things.

Having an effective process prevents a lot of that happening.

  • Deciding you've done enough

What's "enough"? What does "enough" look like? When it comes to your time, in and out of your business, you get to decide enoughness and what's "right" for you. In this episode I talk about one question that will help you determine enough and right for you... is what and how I did it today/this week moving me in the direction I want to go?

  • Predicting your own (and other's) behavior

One of the biggest by products I see in having a coach is the tools you learn to become more aware of yourself. With one of the main tools I teach my clients, you can learn how to see your own actions with much more clarity. This enables you to look at your past selves and decisions with more compassion and understanding. It also allows you to witness your own behavior in real time so you can make decisions on what you want to happen right then and there. You can also use this tool to determine what behavior will help you create the outcomes you want to have. This same tool allows you to see the people around you  in a different way so that you can relate and understand your clients more.

  • Judging harshly & loving fiercely

As humans, it's understandable that we assess or judge other people and situations. Not that long ago, judging what was going on around us was essential to our survival. Now, that judgement is turned against ourselves. Sometimes we judge ourselves ahead of time so that we can avoid others doing it for us. We do this thinking we'll get approval or acceptance if we do things "right". It's beyond exhausting and so unnecessary. In this episode, I propose that if we judge ourselves harshly, we love ourselves fiercely as well.

  • How to feel less judgment and guilt about taking time off

Taking unexpected time off was unexpectedly awful this past week! Shouldn't this break feel good or like a relief? Maybe. Our ideas around working hard is engrained in a lot of us. If we're not working "hard" (who decides that? how much is "hard"?) then we're lazy and not worth what we think. It's a terribly cycle to be in- recognizing the need to take a break and feeling guilty about doing it does not a pleasurable time make. We're not being selfish if we decided to step away from our businesses for a couple of days. We can love the hell out of ourselves while we rest and this will fill our cups. Tune in to this episode to find out more.

  • Making the most of word of mouth referrals

Word of mouth referrals are free and easy ways to leverage your present client relationships for new ones. Who is better at talking about how wonderful you and your sessions are than the person who just left, a more relaxed and easy moving version of themselves? No one.

Word of mouth marketing to some seems too slow and uncomfortable (when and how should I ask them to refer others to me?). It's another way of asking someone to help you help someone else. Marketing is about connecting with others, yet many of us don't use this already in place resource. Why? It comes down to a lack of belief.

Announcement: I'll be a guest on a Zoom webinar about understanding our emotions with host Jodie Rogers. It's on Thursday 3.17.2022 at 8pm  ET. I'm so excited to talk about how our emotions show up in the body and the intersection of essential oils for our emotional self-care.

  • Hoping, waiting and trying

Hoping, waiting and trying all sound productive and appropriate but they don't move us in the direction we want to go. Listen in on how to convert waiting, hoping and trying to DOING.

  • Wanting accountability

Wanting accountable to someone or something is a nice way of saying you don't trust yourself.

In this episode, I talk about what wanting accountability looks like in your brain. That could be questioning yourself and the decisions you make or believing yourself to be helpless because you think you need someone's oversight.

I teach my clients how to trust themselves by thinking and doing with intention. Why throwing away your to do list and starting a result list helps you focus on your priorities and procrastinate less.

  • What are you believing about your pricing?

If you hear yourself say, "I keep changing my mind about what my prices are", you're losing money because you're probably charging some people less than you want. In this episode, I talk about how our thinking about money, abundance and what we think people want to pay all play into less consistency in what we charge. If you haven't made a decision about what your prices are, your clients are going to be more confused than you are. This doesn't invite them to feel safe and confident in our abilities to run our businesses.

I explore what are new beliefs to believe that make us feel happy to talk about our businesses. We feel confident with potential clients and sharing our passion for what we do. This attracts our people to us, and we make the money we want to make.

  • Niches in Massage Therapy

Niching down is a popular phrase these days. The idea that denoting ourselves as specialists makes our marketing more successful is not a new concept. In this episode, I talk about the pros and cons of niching down and being a general massage therapist, where our confusion leads us and what a "right" niche is and isn't.
