Paul & Eli are back in the House of Mash & Egg for another, simple, regular, no frills, super normal episode of CheapShow. This week, the cheap chaps dive into Eli's record collection to uncover a new charity shop purchase. If you are too young to remember, you'll have no idea what "Buzby" is. To be fair, Paul and Eli don't really remember it either, but it brings them back around to talking about Bernard Cribbins, which is nice! He seems nice. If you have ever wondered what a 1970s promotional pop single for the national phone service sounds like, you'll find out in this week's podcast. We're back! To celebrate the start of a brand-new year, CheapShow has decided to make a very special podcast. This week, to celebrate its 40th anniversary (ok, we just missed it but...) Paul and Eli are taking to the streets of Northwest London to try and track down the locations of a film no one has probably even heard of! In 1981 a TV movie called "Dangerous Davies" was broadcast, starring Bernard Cribbins, based on a series of barely popular books. As it turns out, it was filmed in the area Eli grew up, so he decides to use this expedition as an excuse to revisit some of his old childhood haunts... and Paul has to put up with it! Is this our most pointless episode to date? Probably! Come join the Cheap Chaps on yet another walkabout episode that quickly strays from the path.

Another year gone, another Christmas is on it's way and unfortunately that means it's time for another drunken, angry CheapShow Office Party. As the booze flows, Paul and Eli attempt to bring some Yuletide cheer to economy comedy podcast in the only way they know how... badly! Paul makes a tonne of effort and Eli manages to do less than nothing and that makes Paul turn to the bottle. They break open some budget Xmas Crackers, sample some inexpensive booze, cheap festive eats and manage to ruin several well-loved Christmas songs by giving them a CheapShow update. You have been warned. For the grand finale, Paul has curated a very special "Price of Shite" for Eli to tackle. If Eli is successful, there is a very special prize indeed! But just when the office party was starting to become a more heart-warming experience, Paul simply had to answer his phone... And it all ends rather badly! If you can survive this Xmas party, you can survive any of them! Merry Christmas!

All the plans are thrown out of the window this week when the planned "walkabout" episode is postponed because Paul can't "walk about". As a result, the Cheap Chaps have thrown together a makeshift episode that we hope brings you some pleasure. Unlike Paul's back. With Paul in pain and Eli in charge, it's going to get pretty messy. The CheapShow email inbox reveals a new Tales from the Shop Floor, a strange and dangerous story... which sadly devolves into trying to define what "shotgunning" a toilet really means. Meanwhile, two very familiar voices pop up when it's time to play "Off Brand/Brand Off", but what's been going on with our two favourite fugitives? OH! What would you do if you had agonising back pain and you couldn't concentrate because of said ailment? In Paul's case, he decides to press on with a podcast recording. This may not be the best plan, especially when Eli is in another of his "moods". Maybe it's because Paul & Eli are tired, maybe its because the early dark nights stir something within them or maybe it’s because their guest forgot to turn up for the recording, either way, the Cheap Chaps are in a proper mood this week. It's a big old chunky episode with TWO big competition segments. In The Price of Shite, tempers and passions flare up when Paul & Eli come to a head over the (always shoddy) rules! Paul reveals how much he hates monkeys and Eli revels in his memories of late night, low budget TV shows. Later in the episode, it's time for another Gannon's Golden Games. In this edition they tackle "Mike Reid's Pop Quiz" board game which takes them on a trip down the "1980s Radio DJs" rabbit hole. Please brace yourself accordingly.

We just hope The Queen and Sarah Greene never listen to this week's episode! PLEASE don't tell them!

It's entirely possible that Paul and Eli may have had too much coffee, candy and soda this week, which may explain their volatile behaviour, but that's not really an explanation. The Cheap Chaps venture back to the Froth Shop and the Soda Jerk to sample a large selection of delicious, yet cheap, Japanese candy and some revolting UK soft drinks. However, all is not well behind the scenes, as the proprietors of these sweet establishments are having a bit of an awkward falling out. It's not too much better for Paul and Eli either, as one of them can feel a stress induced death coming on and the other can feel a revolting, maddening song coming on! It's going to be another "one of those" episodes again, isn't it? Sigh!
