The Health Minister is being warned to keep his nose out of pay negotiations with senior doctors.. with their union also claiming he could be breaching employment law. Yesterday Health Minister Simeon Brown released a letter to Te Whatu Ora and the Doctor's union asking them to agree to binding arbitration. Te Whatu Ora has said yes to the binding arbitration but its a hard no from the Asssociation of Salaried Medical Specialists. Chief Executive of the union, Sarah Dalton spoke to Lisa Owen.

In an emotional first address, the Māori Queen Te Ariki-nui Kuini Nga wai hono i te po has set down her plan for unity and independence. It's the fourth day of Koroneihana celebration and today the Te Arikinui gave her first public speech since ascending to the Māori Monarchy. The mother of a woman who disappeared over a fortnight ago from central Auckland has made an urgent plea for information about her whereabouts. 25-year-old Te Anihana Pomana left Sky City just after five-o'clock in the morning on August the 21st. Police have said that despite exhaustive efforts to find her they haven't yet solved the mystery. Finn Blackwell reports.
