Today I’m going to share two of my new favorite stories with you, from our brand new book that just came out yesterday – Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Crazy Family. I love these stories because they’re about family members coming together – as friends – even after divorces. This happens more often than you would think, and I know it’s the case in my own family.

Hey, it’s Amy Newmark with some instant inspiration from Chicken Soup for the Soul. Today I’m going to share a couple of stories that show that even the shyest people can find a way to overcome their shyness. Here’s how these two shy people found their self-confidence.

Today I’m excited to introduce you to our guest, the actress, singer, and writer, Melanie Chartoff. Melanie is a new member of the Chicken Soup for the Soul family, having written a story for a new book we have coming out on Tuesday, Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Crazy Family. This is not really about crazy – it’s about those wacky, lovable family members that we all have.

Hey, it’s Amy Newmark with a couple of my new favorite stories from Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Amazing Mom. These stories are reassuring in that they show that kids really do notice what their mothers do for them and for others. Sometimes, when you’re in the trenches raising kids, you’re not sure they’re paying attention or appreciating everything that you do. But in these stories, teenage girls—yes, teenage girls—do notice and admire their moms.

Today I want to talk about spring cleaning and how GREAT it feels to have LESS stuff. We put out a book about this a couple of years ago. It’s called Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Joy of Less and I found it highly motivational in getting me to focus on how much better I would feel with less clothing and less stuff in general. I’ve reduced the amount of clothing and footwear I have by almost half as a result and I still think I have too much.

Hey, it’s Amy Newmark with some new favorites for you from our latest book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Amazing Mom. Mother’s Day is a month and a half away, but the way the retailers work, they start putting up their Mother’s Day displays in late March, so we always get our Mother’s Day gift books out in mid-March. That’s okay though because you can’t thank mothers and grandmothers enough for all that they do. So I’ll be sharing stories with you for several weeks now as we head into Mother’s Day, and we do happen to have a lot of amazing stories in this new book about amazing moms.

Today I want to talk about the gift of time, which is something that our kids REALLY want, as we see over and over again in Chicken Soup for the Soul stories. With Easter coming at the end of the week, I thought I’d share a couple of stories that might give you ideas for creating unique gifts this year.
