You have raised a banner for those who fear You, that they may flee the bow. Selah — Psalm 60:4

God gives a banner to those who fear Him, to be displayed because of truth. That banner "Jehovah-Nissi"—the Lord is my banner. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard. We are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us. Be strong in the Lord, not in yourself.

And no lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless. — Revelation 14:5

Without fault before the throne of God. That's not your natural condition—it's your legal standing in Christ. In those days the iniquity of Israel will be sought but there will be none. Celebrates a God who pardons iniquity and casts our sins into the depths of the sea. We're accepted in the Beloved, and Jude 24-25 promises He'll present you faultless before His glory.

Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. — Psalm 9:10

Those who know Your name put their trust in You. Knowing God's name isn't memorizing a label—it's knowing His character, His faithfulness, His covenant-keeping nature. His name is a strong tower where the righteous run and are safe. The Lord will not forsake His people for His great name's sake. Courage: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. Trust grows where God's character is known.

No one shall stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so will I be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. — Joshua 1:5

"I will not fail you nor forsake you". That's God's covenant promise, not a maybe. Not one good word failed—every promise came true. God isn't a man that He should lie. Paints the unforgettable image of a mother nursing her child, but God says "I will not forget you—I've engraved you on the palms of my hands. You can trust a God who carves your name into His own flesh.

Remember me favorably, O my God, for all that I have done for this people. — Nehemiah 5:19

"Think upon me, my God, for good". Nehemiah prayed this after serving God's people—not as a boast, but as a plea. God thinking thoughts of peace toward His people, and His thoughts are higher than ours. His thoughts toward us are more than can be numbered. You don't need to remind God to think of you; He never stops.

Meanwhile, the apostles gathered around Jesus and brought Him news of all they had done and taught. — Mark 6:30

The disciples gathered to Jesus and told Him everything. Simple as that. They didn't filter—they brought their successes and failures to their Master. A friend sticks closer than a brother, and Jesus calls you friend. The Spirit of adoption so you can cry out to the Father.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish for us the work of our hands—yes, establish the work of our hands! — Psalm 90:17

Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us. That's not a prayer for aesthetic improvement—it's a cry for His character to mark us. God's beauty was upon Israel because of His splendor. Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips. — Psalm 141:3

Set a watch over my mouth, Lord. The tongue runs wild when the heart isn't guarded. Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Put away anger and filthy language because you've put on the new self in Christ. You can't tame your own tongue, so ask the Lord to keep the door of your lips.

Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world. — Hebrews 4:3

The rest of faith isn't sitting still—it's ceasing from your own works to trust Christ's finished work. We have peace with God through Jesus. You don't earn rest; you receive it. Stop striving and rest in what Christ has already done.
