A new report by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) says Vancouver saw a decline in the construction of multiplexes and townhomes in recent years, compared to other major Canadian cities. The report calls this type of housing the "missing middle," referring to middle-density housing that includes townhouses, row homes and low-rise apartments. CMHC deputy chief economist Tania Bourassa-Ochoa joins the show to break down the report.
