Phylicia Barnes was 16-years-old when she went to visit her siblings in Baltimore, Maryland for the Christmas holidays in 2010. She stayed with her 27-year-old half-sister, Deena, at her basement apartment. On December 28th, 2010, Phylicia left the apartment to grab some food and had plans with her other sister, Kelly, to get her hair done later that day. After 1:30PM, no one heard from or saw Phylicia again. Months later, after no evidence or a single clue, Phylicia was found deceased. There are shocking discoveries and many twists and turns along the way. So many questions have gone unanswered. The biggest question of all remains unknown to this day. Did the suspect, who was pinned for her murder, actually commit the crime?

The fall semester was nearing its end in 1998 for Yale senior, Suzanna Jovin. On the evening of December 4th, she was at a pizza party celebrating with her friends in the Best Buddies program with plans to then head back to her place to work on final revisions to her senior thesis-- all while looking forward to finally getting some glorious sleep when all the work was complete. However, less than 90 minutes after leaving the pizza party, she was found brutally murdered. Police quickly honed in on a suspect but have since publicly admitted that the individual is no longer considered a suspect (and was awarded a monetary settlement for even being named as one). All clues pointed toward this being a crime of passion-- but who could have harbored such ill-will toward the beautiful, intelligent, and empathetic Suzanne?

On Tuesday, September 7th, 1982, crew aboard multiple fishing vessels in Craig, Alaska saw the smoke billowing in the distance. It was coming from another ship, The Investor, which had been anchored off of nearby Fish Egg Island for the past day. However, when other crew rushed to aid those on board the ship only to find that not a single person was visible on deck nor actively trying to extinguish the flames, they knew something more more sinister than a fire was at play.

Kurt Sova was the 17-year-old who could always make people smile, either by being his responsible, caring self or by cracking a joke. But on October 23rd, 1981, Kurt was doing something out of character; he was skipping school and drinking the day away. That night, the drinking continued at a local party in Newburgh Heights, Ohio-- a party from which Kurt never made it home. Then, five days later, his body was discovered in a ravine only 500 yards awar from where he was last seen. With odd occurrences and recollections added to a faulty investigation, Kurt’s family was left wondering what really happened? And who can they trust is telling the truth?

For over sixty years, she was known known by the nickname she had been given in 1960: Little Miss Nobody. Her charred remains had been buried in a shallow grave off of State Route 93 in Congress, Arizona. Thanks so modern genetic testing procedures being done by Othram, she has recently been identified. That part of the puzzle has now been solved. Now we must focus on the crime and who could possibly be callous enough to have committed her murder.

Brittany Stykes was on her way to her father’s birthday party, bringing her 14-month-old daughter along with her, when she was attacked. Driving along on State Route 68 in Ripley, Ohio and only about three miles away from the safety of her parents’ home, someone fired into her yellow Jeep, striking both Brittany and her toddler with the bullets.
