Week 6 is just a few days away and a few teams are out for some redemption this week. We start in Florida as #18 Florida State looks to redeem themselves after being upset last week at Virginia. However, the redemption will not come easy as they host #3 Miami. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey discuss this matchup and look at what Florida State has on the line trying to avoid back-to-back losses. They also share their thoughts on this year's Miami team and what a win would do for their season. Could a win put them on the fast-track to the top seed in the CFP? Then, we head to Tuscaloosa as they discuss #10 Alabama hosting #16 Vanderbilt. Alabama is looking to avenge last season's major upset and there will be no underestimating Vanderbilt this year. Can Diego Pavia still lead Vandy to another upset?

Later, Ross steps off of the field and onto the court as he shares a bit of insider news about college basketball's NCAA tournament. Talk about expanding the field has continued, with an increase to 76 teams being the most likely choice if the field does expand. Not only do the guys have some strong feelings about this potential move, but they also discuss if this could have any impact on CFP expansion talk. Then, ESPN’s Dan Wetzel (who listeners might be familiar with) had to make sure the guys didn’t run out of stories to talk about, so he broke some news on Wednesday about the Big Ten. The Big Ten is in talks about a $2 billion dollar investment from a private equity firm. Andy, Ross and Godfrey talk about the impact this could have on college football and the potential pitfalls it would create for the sport.

Finally, the guys make their picks for this week's I've Got A Feeling. ULM, Mississippi State and the Texas vs. Florida UNDER are this week's choices.

On Sunday, Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey talked about how they expected Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman to be fired in the near future. By the time the episode was released, Arkansas had indeed fired Pittman, who was in his 6th season. Former Arkansas head coach, and current offensive coordinator, Bobby Petrino, has been named interim head coach and he made it clear that he is interested in removing that interim title. Andy, Ross and Godfrey discuss why this may be a more desirable job than it appears and who might be a fit for the new era of Arkansas football. They also debate if Petrino has a chance at becoming the full-time head coach and how Arkansas can have a program turnaround similar to the one Ole Miss is having right now. 

Later, we get Ross' Congressional Minute as he explains the new SAFE Act that is being introduced into the Senate. This is a similar act to the already introduced SCORE Act, but there are some key differences. Ross explains the differences between the acts and what they mean for the future of college athletics. The guys discuss which is a better act and where the discussions in Congress will go from here. 

Lastly, the Week 5 slate in college football was jam-packed with marquee matchups. However, Week 6 is lacking in comparison. The guys discuss the disparity between various weeks of the college season and Godfrey proposes the solution of a central body that does all of the scheduling in college football. Is this something that could actually happen in the future?

#6 Oregon walked into one of the most feared environments in college football on Saturday. A Penn State 'White Out'. They walked out with a win after taking down #3 Penn State in a double overtime game. The Ducks and first-year starting quarterback Dante Moore continue to impress this season as they claim the huge victory. Although many people may blame James Franklin for the loss, Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey talk about how this is not the game bash James Franklin for. They also discuss how impressive this Ducks team is under head coach Dan Lanning, if Dante Moore is the best quarterback in the country and if Oregon has a realistic chance to go 12-0, again. 

Later, the guys discuss the madness over in the SEC. They start with the biggest SEC game of the weekend that saw #17 Alabama upset #5 Georgia. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart continues to struggle when he faces Alabama and the guys break down why this might be. Plus, is Alabama back? After an embarrassing loss in Week 1, the Crimson Tide have looked closer to the team the country is used to seeing. That was not the only notable SEC game of the weekend. The guys also discuss #9 Texas A&M defeating Auburn and #13 Ole Miss upsetting #4 LSU. Trinidad Chambliss has impressed this season, will the Rebels continue to ride with the backup? Plus, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman is on his way out after a 56-13 loss to #22 Notre Dame.

Finally, they break down a few more notable games from the weekend. #23 Illinois defeated #21 USC on a last second field goal and completely dominated them at the line of scrimmage. It has been a busy Week 5 in college football and there haven't even been any games played yet. Tuesday was a drama filled day in the state of Oklahoma. It was announced that three games into his 21st season, Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy was fired. The Oklahoma State legend had taken the school to unprecedented heights, but in recent years there was more struggle than triumph. Losing 11 of his last 12 games, and starting the year with a 1-2 record, that included a 69-3 loss to Oregon and a loss to Tulsa, appeared to be the final straw. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey react to the firing and discuss where it all started to go wrong for Gundy in recent years. Plus, some other news that came out on Tuesday was that Oklahoma's starting quarterback, John Mateer, broke his hand in Oklahoma's victory over Auburn and needed surgery. He is presumed to be out about a month, but no official timeline has been released. The guys discuss if Oklahoma can survive without Mateer, especially heading into the Red River Rivalry on Oct. 11. Can they still make the playoffs with a few losses if they look good when Mateer returns? 

Later, Ross gives us his report from the commissioners' meetings this week. Ross was on-site for the meetings where the College Football Playoff formats of the future were discussed. How soon may we get a new format or will we get one at all? It appears a new committee may be formed to help aid in that decision. A frustrated Godfrey chimes in with Andy as the guys give their thoughts on the proceedings. Plus, Ross gives us an update on the SCORE Act in his Congressional Minute.

Finally, the guys discuss games. It is a loaded week of fantastic matchups in college football and the guys try to get to as many games as they can. They spoke Tuesday about the big game at Penn State, but what about another big matchup in Athens, GA as #17 Alabama visits #5 Georgia. Plus, top ranked Ohio State goes to Washington, #4 LSU visits #13 Ole Miss and #11 Indiana looks to keep their momentum going at Iowa. #3 Penn State hosting #6 Oregon leads a stacked Week 5 slate in college football. It will be a White Out in Happy Valley on Saturday for the Ducks' first trip into Nittany Lions territory. Oregon got the best of Penn State in last season's Big Ten Championship game, but there is a key difference for Penn State this year. New defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Knowles knows the Ducks well from facing them twice last season when he was the defensive coordinator for the national champions, Ohio State. Ross Dellenger talked with Knowles in the offseason about making the switch from Columbus to Happy Valley. Andy Staples and Steven Godfrey join Ross as they discuss the impact Knowles is having for Penn State this year, how important this game is for James Franklin and what we can expect from this matchup.

Later, the guys chat about the release of part of the new SEC conference schedule. The annual opponents for each team have been revealed. Andy, Ross and Godfrey discuss how these matchups were decided and what we should take away from this new schedule. The rest of the schedule is to be released later today. Plus, the ACC followed the SEC's lead and announced they too will be playing a nine-game conference schedule starting in 2026. Each of the Power 4 conferences is now playing a nine-game conference schedule, but there are still some inequalities among conference schedules. The guys discuss what these are, how they can be adjusted and what this scheduling impact could mean for the future of college football.

Lastly, all 32 Division 1 conference commissioners are meeting this weekend. It is expected a new CFP format will be discussed along with a host of other notable topics in the world of college athletics. Ross will be there and while he does not expect there will be much news on the CFP front, there is sure to be plenty of information that will come out of the meetings. We will get his report from the meetings on Thursday.

Thursday will also hold a conversation about Oklahoma State's firing of Mike Gundy.

One month has passed in the college football season as Week 4 is now in the books. There were some dominant performances that led the way including #17 Texas Tech dominating #16 Utah at the line of scrimmage. The college football world has been interested to see the Red Raiders get tested after an offseason of revamping their team through the portal, spending heavily on NIL. On Saturday, at least, that plan paid off as the Red Raiders came out of Salt Lake City with a 34-10 victory. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey discuss if Texas Tech is the best team in the Big 12. Plus, there was a big matchup in Norman, Oklahoma as #11 Oklahoma squeaked out a win over #22 Auburn. The guys discuss what this matchup told us about each school and what their season may look like going forward.

Later, they discuss another dominant win as #19 Indiana got their first win over a Top 10 team in five years with a 63-10 beatdown of #9 Illinois. Was Illinois overrated or is Indiana actually that good? The guys discuss. They also take a look at a few other embarrassing losses from Saturday. Week 4 is upon us and it is a huge weekend for the Big Ten. The game everyone has been talking about involves two schools that have not been thought of as powers in the conference, but they may have something to say about that this year. 9th-ranked Illinois visits 19th-ranked Indiana in the first big test of the season for both schools. Steven Godfrey explains why he thinks this game is so important for the Big Ten. Andy Staples and Ross Dellenger join in on previewing the game. Another notable Big Ten matchup this week involves 21st-ranked Michigan visiting undefeated Nebraska. Michigan goes into the game without head coach Sherrone Moore, who is serving part of his suspension from the Michigan penalties. The unusual part is that Moore was not only suspended for the game, but he was also suspended for the whole week. The guys discuss this unique situation and give their thoughts on how this game may play out. 

Later in the show, Andy, Ross and Godfrey discuss the spirited press conference from Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. Although no one truly believes he is getting fired, the guys discuss why he may have decided to say all that he said. They also dive into Clemson's chance at making it back to both the ACC title game and the College Football Playoff. Then, we get our update from congress in Ross' Congressional Minute, which shockingly only takes one minute. There is news about the SCORE Act, and whether it's good or bad depends on your feelings about the act itself.

Three weeks into the college football season and there have already been two head coaches fired. UCLA's DeShaun Foster and Virginia Tech's Brent Pry are out. Neither coach had won a game this season. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey talk about where the Bruins and Hokies go from here in their search for a new leader. They also discuss who may be next on the chopping block. After struggling to begin the season, Florida's Billy Napier, Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy and Wisconsin's Luke Fickell are names to keep an eye on. Can these coaches turn it around and cool off the hot seat like some other coaches have done this year?

Later in the show, the guys chat about a new trend in college football for how to revamp a struggling offense. The new philosophy is to bring over another school's offensive coordinator and his quarterback. Two successful examples of this, so far this season, are Oklahoma's OC Ben Arbuckle and QB John Mateer and Utah's OC Jason Beck and QB Devon Dampier. Week 3 of the college football season is in the books and it did not lack drama. South Bend was rocking as #8 Notre Dame hosted #16 Texas A&M. A game that came down to a botched PAT and a late TD saw the Aggies upset the Irish 41-40. Ross Dellenger was in attendance and chats with Andy Staples and Steven Godfrey about the scene. They discuss how good this A&M team really is and if Notre Dame can overcome this 0-2 start or if their playoff hopes are gone.

Another game that came down to the wire saw #6 Georgia squeak past #15 Tennessee in an overtime thriller. Joey Aguilar and Gunner Stockton have been standouts for their respective teams this season and the guys chat about the impact both of these quarterbacks are having. They also discuss the parity in the SEC and how competitive the conference is this season from top to bottom.

Week 3 is upon us! After only two weeks, the college football season has not disappointed as it's delivered on entertaining games and big surprises. There is no reason to believe Week 3 will be any different as it is headlined by a huge game in South Bend. 16th-ranked Texas A&M visits 8th-ranked Notre Dame. After a close loss to Miami to start the season and a bye in Week 2, the Fighting Irish have a lot to prove to backup the preseason hype. With no ranked teams currently remaining on their schedule, would a loss to the Aggies all but eliminate them from the CFP conversation? Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey debate this topic as they preview the game. Plus, there was a lot of drama during the week about AP voting. The guys share their thoughts on the situation and talk about times they messed up when they had an AP vote. They also share whether or not the AP should change their voting system. Should we have a year-round poll, even in the offseason?

Later, Ross shares his Congressional Minute that is much more than a minute. The future of college football is being discussed in Washington D.C. today with the SCORE Act (Student Compensation and Opportunity through Rights and Endorsements Act) and the Sports Broadcasting Act being the two cornerstones of the conversation. Both of these acts may drastically change the future of the sport and college athletics in general. Ross breaks down the details of each of these acts and the impact they could have. The guys then discuss these monumental decisions and what they think the end result will be.
