In this episode on 'Conversations With", mental illness advocate Shaley Hoogendoorn talks to Phoebe. Phoebe lives with Bipolar 1 and runs the non-profit High Life UK. This conversation gives insight into what bipolar depression and mania looks and feels like. Phoebe tells the truth about the high highs of her mania and a manic episode that led her to being hospitalized. We are so grateful for her work and her willingness to talk about openly about her fairly decent diagnosis. Phoebe's story will not only comfort others, it will give others the hope and courage to seek help.

Meet Phoebe:

My name is Phoebe! I’m currently based in London. My pronouns are she/her. I was diagnosed with bipolar type 1 at the age of 21. I’m currently working before going to study Chemistry at Oxford University, and also am the founder of the non profit organization called High Life UK which aims to support people, especially young people, who are newly diagnosed with bipolar.
