Lockdown has been particularly tough on grandparents. Given they are the most vulnerable to the coronavirus many families were quick to implement social distancing rules. And even with restrictions easing in many parts of Australia most families will still want to protect the older people in their families. Patti Gilbert is an entertainer and grandparent who knows the tyranny of distance. Along with several musical friends she formed The Grandparents Club- an online group that gives grandparents a platform to brag and connect with their peers. Patti talks about what lockdown was like for her and how new forms of technology are now just a part of life.
