due to ethical concerns and ideological bullying. They joined me to

talk about Suzannah's research into the origins of CSJ ideology in the

counseling field, and some of the inherent contradictions and

inconsistencies in today's counseling training and in the profession as a

whole.

Suzannah Alexander was a student in the University of Tennessee’s

Clinical Mental Health Counselor program from Aug 2022 through January

2023 when she withdrew from the program after being barred from

Practicum despite earning 3As and a B.

Her experience of being subjected to struggle sessions and discriminated

against for her Buddhist practice and being white is detailed on

YouTube. She has since spoken out and is now a volunteer at the

Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism.

She is also a single homeschooling parent of four, makes art work,

writes online and has a background in volunteer leadership and peer

support going back 30 years.

Lauren Holt is a Northern California native, now residing in Asheville,

North Carolina. She runs her own small business accounting firm and

teaches community college ESL on the side. Lauren is a passionate

writer, singer, traveler, and animal shelter volunteer. Every day that

she can, she likes to find time for creativity, the great outdoors, and

quality connection, be that with a human being, or with an animal in

need.
