In 2021, we published an episode on Counting Crows. We promised you back then, dear listeners, that if Counting Crows ever went on tour again, we'd make it our BUSINESS to get there to see them. Well, it finally happened.

In July 2023, Counter Programming hosts Shira Moskowitz and Arielle Nissenblatt headed to Jones Beach to see Counting Crows live. In this episode, we share our experience at the show.

Hello Counties! It's been a minute but we're back with a feed drop!

We were recently interviewed by the co-founders of SquadCast.fm, Zach Moreno and Rock Felder, on their podcast, Between Two Mics: The Remote Recording Podcast.

In this interview, we explain how we did it. We also discuss how Counter Programming came to be, we talk about our friendship, and lots more.

Today we're diving into the question that was on everyone's mind after watching Bridgerton...What the heck is a Viscount?

This week, more counters! Tally counters.

Welcome to Counter Programming with Shira & Arielle. Each week, we bring you information on anything with the word "count" or "counter" in its title. We started as a pandemic distraction cast. And we will continue until we're both fully vaccinated and incubated.

Definition:
A tally counter is usually cased in metal and is cylindrical in shape. Part of the circle is flattened out and contains a window of plastic or glass. Inside the counter are a number of rings with the numbers from 0 to 9 in descending order going clockwise. Most counters have four such rings, allowing the user to count up to 9999. A metal ring may be attached to aid in holding the counter, and usually half the ring is bent to allow it to fold flush with the counter when not in use.
