Eli Lilly will enter Phase III clinical trials for their antibody treatment. They will recruit 2400 residents and employees from long term care facilities for the trials.
Melbourne, Australia declared “a state of disaster” with the Premier stating “Where you slept last night is where you’ll need to stay for the next six weeks”. They also implemented a curfew from 8PM to 5AM. Workers in England can be asked to return to the workplace if employers believe they are free of the virus. The UK has acquired millions of 90-minute coronavirus tests, the tests can also detect the flu. The Department of Health noted the tests will increase testing capacity and help quickly break the chain of transmission. Russia will launch a nationwide vaccination campaign in October. The vaccine has yet to complete clinical trials.
