I can not imagine Thomas Edison is doing anything but rolling in his grave after this weeks anime. Why Edison you ask? I just assumed with him taking all of Teslas other inventions he would steal the anime based on them as well. If that is the case this is the first won Tesla has had in a while. On the other side of things Platinum End is a show about suicide and becoming a god after killing yourself written by Mr. Deathnote himself. Let that one sink in and prepare to completely underwhelmed! Hope you enjoy this episode!

Here we are again folks at another CAS crossroads. The intersection of oh my gosh this is all just fluff avenue and Gurren Lagann rip off road. Two anime that seemingly want to give absolutely nothing new to this world but want to suck money away from potentially different anime because some weirdos in suits promise this will sell. The worst part is that they are correct and thus the slop continues. I hope you are all happy. At the very least listen to us try to fill a 90 minute void with nothing but a few crumbs!

Rumpus Grumpus is an anime that once and for all proves that it is not ok to take any hobby and make it your personality. There is nothing inherently wrong with liking anime but that doesn't mean we should go around screaming Baka at everyone we meet. On the other side of things I am pretty sure Deep insanity is just one giant Go Army recruitment video and that too is kind of creepy. Who wins out on being creepy yet entertaining? You will have to use 106 minutes of your time to find out. Or just fast forward to the end I guess but that is sort of like cheating!

Season 6 selection time!! You know what that means!! Not only is it a 2+ hour episode, but we are also at the apex of the first hill of a roller coaster. Whether this is a fun roller coaster, or one that creates existential dread within us all is up to the 8 anime we selected. Odds are it will be at least a little bit of both, but here is hoping more of the former! We hope you get as pumped as we do about this first episode!

Have you ever been caught cheating by a teacher because you copied your friend's homework but change the answers to make them a little worse. Well that's what it feels like Pacific Rim: The Black did to its predecessor. In what can only be described as making an anime version of a movie, this does not fail to deliver with bad voice acting and funny moments that are treated as serious plot points. And I also hope you like american tourists in Australia because I guess it is too expensive to hire Aussie voice actors. Have a seat and dig in!

It is in times like these where I wish I could muster up a speech such as Braveheart and tell you that bad anime may take our lives, but it can never kill our joy!!! But I am going to be honest with you this rundown sure took one hell of a swing at our joy. I mean it is mostly our fault as we are getting better at letting the best terrible anime to make it to the final. Nevertheless we made it through another great season with only the bonus episode remaining. Thanks for hanging with us and enjoy the episode!

THIS! THIS RIGHT HERE!! This is why we do what we do on this show. One of these benchwarmers is the cream of the crop when it comes to entertainingly bad anime. One of these anime is the reason we all get out of bed in the morning and routinely suffer. One could argue that at this point we are just perpetuating a sunk cost fallacy and I would have to agree. We can not, however, let that stop us and must use this anime as a false sense of security going forward! Come suffer with us and enjoy this brief respite!

Sometimes you sit down and you watch a movie like Rocky and the whole time you are rooting for the underdog. You are cheering for Balboa to overcome immense odds and come out on top and even if he loses you will still have more respect for him after following his journey. However, there are times you sit down and watch a movie like Expendables because you wanna watch the good guys just smash the bad guys in an overly cliché and predictable action movie full of explosions. The matchup between these two anime is like the latter of the two and I could not be more here for it if I tried!! Take a listen and let us know what you think.
