On the 44th instalment of The Unscathed Life podcast, I have the ever beautiful and amazing Uche Lotanna Anajemba. Uche who I consider to be one of my Mentors is a certified John Maxwell Coach, a Speaker and Trainer. Uche is the founder of Classroom to Boardroom as well as an Entrepreneurship Programme called The Extraction. She is a SERIAL entrepreneur who’s reach and influence spans across a number of industry sectors.
We cover a lot of ground on today’s episode starting with the core of how we evolve as human beings to the importance of launching out early in life and experimenting with different pursuits, so we begin the process of refining what we have been called to do here on earth. The differences between our core purpose and the vehicles of expression which help us propagate our unique messages. Uche also spoke about how truly seeing ourselves as being made in the image and likeness of God supports us in having the self belief and confidence to break barriers, and become multi-potentialites without conforming to socio-cultural stereotypes which dictate that we should be one thing alone.
Despite being many things, at heart, Uche defines her true calling as being a teacher because every single day of her life, she teaches and so she does on today’s show. She teaches extensively on the subject of ‘Waiting’.
Uche redefines the concept of ‘Waiting’, from something that many see as applicable only to a subset of society, particularly in the African cultural context. ‘Waiting’ would usually mean waiting for a child or a spouse, but instead, Uche’s view, which is the truth, is that we all wait as human beings. Whether it is a job, a business or even recognition which measures up to the value we carry.
“The waiting room doesn’t have to mean that life is placed on hold” she says, because whatever you are waiting for, is just an aspect of a bigger vision you have been given to fulfill. She shared advice on how to manage the internal and external pressures during such seasons and also her very personal stories of being in seasons of waiting. Waiting to get married and also waiting to have her son.
Even in her time of waiting, Uche never gave up on her belief that each of those seasons would come to an end and that same hope is what she draws on to teach from today.
Today’s conversation will charge you to always be intentional about manifesting your highest self especially when you are in a waiting season.

On the 43rd instalment of The Unscathed Life podcast, I have the amazing Padebi Ojomo with me. Padebi Ojomo is a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Trainer, Consultant and Speaker. She is a Serial Entrepreneur and a Business Growth Expert, who helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
On today’s show, Padebi shares personal stories about her childhood and the impact of her Mum and Dad’s separation on her and her siblings when she was just age 13. She shares about the emotional toll she experienced from the sudden absence of her mum.
Padebi gives us insights into her entrepreneurship journey, which started just after her Mum left, as a coping mechanism, and subsequently morphed into a series of successful businesses. I consider Padebi to be a fierce go-getter who still manages to live a genuinely relaxed life, so I was eager for her to spill the beans on some of the habits that have helped her maintain the calm life she paradoxically exudes.
Padebi did share and when she did, she spoke to the heart of how one of the ways she lives life without overwhelm is by simply maintaining a solution oriented approach. On this episode, you will learn about focus and the importance of prioritising personal growth through daily routines which will give you an edge over the rest of the world.
This episode will help you become more intentional about your personal growth and teach you timeless principles on Personal Values, True Authenticity, Relentless Discipline, and Unparalleled Self Control. I have no doubt that the strategies you learn on this episode will promote you manifesting your higher self going forward.
Key highlights from the episode;
On this 42nd instalment of The Unscathed Life podcast, I am discussing all things 'Service'. What it is, what it does for us and some broad examples of ways in which we can serve others.
I feel service is one of the purest forms of human interacts and every single day of our lives, we are either being served or serving others and at times it is easy to not value or overlook these acts, because they do not come in the conventional ways we have been taught to recognise service.
So today I speak extensively on 'what is in it for you', why is important for you to be more service aware and what the key intersections are between serving others and Living Unscathed.
I also share what I am calling my 'My 5 Ps' of service which are Presence, Physical gestures, Promotions ,Provisions and Provoking. If you are reading this and you are given naturally to service or perhaps you are one of those for whom service doesn't really come naturally, I invite you make service a lifestyle by joining my 5 week 'Acts of Service' challenge. On the 41st episode of The Unscathed Life Podcast, I have the incredible honour of hosting Erepere Bello. Her name Erepere might as well be a synonym for Unscathed because she epitomises every single thing we stand for on The Unscathed Life Podcast. Erepere, a mother to 3 lovely girls, and a Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patient living with MS in Nigeria for the last 10years. In a bid to create more awareness and to help others with Invisible Diseases, Erepere founded an NGO called Multiple Sclerosis Awareness in Nigeria (MSAIN) as a medium for this movement.
On today’s show, Erepere shares her journey living with MS for far. She chronicles her emotional story of how her near perfect life changed suddenly with the onset of MS. We discuss the toll MS has taken on her physical health and well being in general. Erepere shares her journey to self-discovery and the importance of knowing and always being true to yourself. The balance between accepting painful realities against a context of cultural and religious expectations of not succumbing to negative outcomes. The delicate dance between being strong and knowing when to lean on others for help. Mothering through health challenges and the dynamics of taking care of her 3 kids and vice versa. Amongst many other thought provoking insights, we discuss the subject of healing from long term illnesses and how you navigate a path towards manifesting your highest self regardless of what you are going through.
All in all, Erepere’s “never-say-die” attitude shines through this entire conversation. At the heart of everything she shares is her desire to teach others, both through her personal walk and her acts of service towards others. Erepere proves unequivocally on today’s show that you do not have everything to help others. All true service requires is desire and intent. There will always be something in your hands that you can use to help others, no matter how incapacitated you believe yourself to be.
I strongly encourage everyone who listens to this episode to support Erepere’s work in creating awareness of Invisible Diseases in Nigeria. Your donations will help support sufferers with getting access to medication for mental health and overall well being. Kindly use the following link to donate: https://gofund.me/62d1b59f

On today’s instalment of The Unscathed Life Podcast, I am super excited to have the amazing Enitan Agidee. Enitan is a hair coach, she is actually UK’s first hair coach and is also a board certified Trichologist. Enitan is passionate about hair, black hair specifically. Her ambition is to support black women in having bold expectations for their hair and scalp health.
This 39th episode is filled with great teachings from Enitan about her journey to becoming one of the UK’s most sought after Hair Coaches. Starting at the very beginning, Enitan discusses having to flee from Nigeria to the UK very suddenly due to fear of political persecution and instability at age 11.
Enitan, who's Dad was Nigeria's former elected President and was sadly killed shortly after his victory describes how life changed rather dramatically for herself, her mum and siblings. Going from comfort and immense affluence in one moment to barely having enough to eat and to having move houses about 11 times in one year, Enitan speaks of the impact of this experience on how she viewed the world and money. We discussed her strained relationship with her mother and the importance of mirroring healthy mother daughter relationships for our kids to see.
Ultimately, we get to talking about her journey to starting the Healthy Hair Studio. We discuss how easy it is for God-given gifts and talents to be disdained because of our expectation that every gift must come with a measure of grandiosity. Enitan literally single handedly created an industry from scratch with a purpose that didn’t seem "reputable” at the time. Enitan went against the grain and she teaches us how to do the same in our own lives. She gives truth to the fact that we can all pursue our God given purposes uniquely without trying to fit into any mould.
Today’s episode shatters the stereotypical thinking on purpose and also helps us see that serving our highest call, unapologetically, is where we start to yield the benefits of being in our Zone of Genius.

On today’s show, I am talking about lies. Yes, lies! The lies you tell yourself which prevent you from unleashing yourself and achieving the greatness already on the inside of you.
I speak extensively on seven specific lies which often play in our subconscious and have very damaging consequences on our view of self, because when conversations happen on the inside of us, it is often more difficult to distinguish between actual facts and what we say to protect ourselves from disappointment or even failure.
This quote by Mark Manson captures it nicely “We lie to ourselves as a way to protect ourselves. Then, once dependent on the lie to remain emotionally stable, we protect the lies in turn”.
This episode will provoke you into becoming more aware of your subconscious mind and limit any self-talk that may be robbing you of becoming all that you were created to be.
Key highlights of this episode are:
In conclusion here’s an abridged version of a Don Miguel quote which encourages us to “..avoid using our words to speak against ourselves and to always use the power of our words in the direction of truth and love.”
On episode 37, we have our youngest ever guest on the show! Teenager Dade Adeniyi, comes on to inspire and prove that no one is ever too young to make a difference.
Dade at age 15, like regular teens loves to dance, act, make music and create new things. However, that is not all there is to her. Having sadly been a victim of bullying at her secondary school, Dade decides to not only speak up for herself, but also champion an Anti-Bullying movement by authoring a book called CALM DOWN when she was just 14, to help change the narrative of bullying in Secondary Schools in Lagos and further afield.
Dade, who I consider to be one of the bright lights of her generation, literally gives life to the expression, 'when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade'. She exemplifies what it means to Live Unscathed and proves that indeed we all have what it takes to manifest our highest selves regardless of circumstance or age.
This episode will inspire you to not only stand up for what you believe is right, but to also go beyond and make a difference so that others can also benefit.
Key Highlights;
Dade’s book CALM DOWN, is a book for kids/teenagers that are having trouble speaking up for themselves and dealing with peer pressure. It is highly recommended for teenagers who may be experiencing bullying or still trying to find themselves.

On this 36th episode of The Unscathed Life Podcast, I have the incredible honour of hosting the phenomenal Raquel Daniel. Raquel is a social entrepreneur and educator working in poor and remote communities in Nigeria focusing on education for children & reproductive health for adolescent girls through her Foundation called ‘Beyond the Classroom’.
Raquel has received numerous awards including the 2021 Luther King Heroes Award, the Women of Impact Award 2021, the Women Achievers Award 2021 and lots more by doing no more than spreading light and giving hope to so many in dire need.
On today’s show, we go beyond the impressive awards and well deserved accolades into Raquel's incredible backstory. Raquel’s dream was to set a new education standard in her family as no one had ever gone beyond secondary school. She nursed this dream until it was threatened in her early teens when there were plans to marry her off to fund her brothers remaining in school. Raquel ran away from home shortly after. Her unbreakable spirit, relentless optimism and heart for God were the saving graces that helped her survive tumultuous teenage years of homelessness and precarious living in a Lagos brothel.
This episode encapsulates what we preach here on The Unscathed Life Podcast. We all have the power to thrive even amidst difficult circumstances and must aim to start fires for positive change in whichever capacity we find ourselves. Raquel’s humility, resilience, selflessness and tenacity were the building blocks which led her to become the change she desperately wanted to see in the world.

On today’s episode of The Unscathed Life podcast, I am super delighted to be discussing the intersection between Identity and Purpose.
We often mistake the roles we embody for our identities, when they are not exactly one and the same thing. Your identity is actually the sum total of your self-construct, consisting of everything that you are, which includes your likes, beliefs, perceptions, talents, strengths, weaknesses and even your dislikes. The unique blending of all of this is what makes you the person that you are.
Purpose, on the other hand as we discussed on last week’s podcast, is the reason for which a thing exists. When something is defined as purposeful, it means it was preconceived in the mind of the creator of the thing.
So how does one’s Identity link with their Purpose? Well, on today’s show, I share 6 powerful pointers that help in understanding the intersection between the two that you can go ahead to leverage all of the uniqueness that exists.
