Julie Wright began writing her first book when she was fifteen. Since then, she's written twenty-six novels. She’s a two-time winner of the Whitney award for best romance with her books "Cross My Heart" and "Lies Jane Austen Told Me" and was a finalist for "Death Thieves." Twice, the America Library Association listed her books in their top ten best romances. She has one husband, five kids, two grandbabies, one dog, and a varying amount of houseplants (depending on attrition). She believes in second chances and getting up and trying again and in the power and magic of love, forgiveness, generosity, and compassion. She is looking forward to the release of her new young adult novel Swimming in a Sea of Stars, which releases August 1st. She considers it a modern day version of It’s a Wonderful Life for teens. She loves writing, reading, traveling, hiking, playing with her kids, and watching her husband make dinner. www.juliewright.com

Today's guest is: Heidi Mueller
Heidi has been creating unique gifts and crafts for over 10 years, starting with jewelry and culminating with the Excelsior Candle Co. in 2016. Initially, she made special candles with customized scents for family and friends. Then decided to sell a few on the side to continue funding her hobby. And from there, she listened to the call to become a maker. Over time, her collection grew to include items like gemstone candles and Palo Santo sticks. Having Blackfoot ancestry, cleansing and connecting to our natural world is a sacred part of my daily life that she is happy to share with you.
The candles are environmentally friendly, and her Bottomless Candle Exchange Program is a sustainable way to shop. Everything, from hand pouring the wax to applying the labels to packing and shipping, is done right in Minnesota. It is a process that takes time and patience. And she loves doing it. excelsiorcandleco.com
