28-year-old Sabina Nessa was an elementary school or primary school teacher as it would be referred to in London. She lived in an affordable southeast London neighborhood that housed young families & professionals. Only a year after she’d gotten her teaching degree,  & in September of 2019, Sabina had gotten her dream job, teaching five & six-year-old students in year one at Rushey Green Primary School in Catford. Rebecca Schaeffer was born in 1967 in Oregon to child psychologist father, Benson Schaeffer & writer, mom, Danna Schaeffer. She was an only child & her dad Benson remembers, “We were very lucky as a family. She was sort of a mystery because if she wanted to do something, she could do it.. She really sort of learned by looking & doing & it was easy.” The family moved to Portland when Rebecca was in high school & she was very drawn to drama, her eyes set on acting or modeling. She became a teen model at age 14 & moved to New York City at age 16 in hopes of bigger opportunities.

During an eight month period of time from September of 1977 to April of 1978, residents of Columbus, Georgia lived in fear as seven women were raped & strangled; often with their own stockings.
