New Jersey was hit pretty hard with Covid19 cases so this week we are sharing stories remotely. We interview Naida who is currently living in China during this quarantine. She shares with us some of the challenges of being a foreigner in China during this time; what the initial experience was like; how she managed to stay sane with her two teenagers and friend; and she shares how they are managing the outbreak there.
Nydia tells us about the deadliest outbreak the world has ever had, Black Death also known as the Black Plague, or the Bubonic Plague. Are you even surprised? Dana shares with us some stories of mass panic and hysteria such as the Meowing Nuns, the Dancing Plague of 1518, the Tanganyika laughter epidemic of 1962, and the Dancing Plague of 1518. Not the current toilet paper crisis, but just as silly.
For dinner, Nydia prepares a slow cooker creamy chicken recipe using things right from her pantry. For dessert, Dana makes cake pops with a germ theme also with ingredients right out of her pantry. There was no wine this week because we decided to drink Corona beer to keep in theme with the Coronavirus quarantine.
