In this episode, Amber covers the stalking and murder of Alice Ruggles. Alice was a 24-year old recent college graduate. She was beautiful, vibrant and energetic. In 2015, she met army soldier Harry Dhillon through a mutual friend on Facebook and a romance blossomed. Alice found Harry to be charming and attentive in the beginning, but it didn't take long for Alice to start seeing concerning red flags in Harry. Alice reached out for help from law enforcement on more than one occasion, but unfortunately little help was offered to her.

Then Erika covers the story of George Waterfield Russell Jr, a.k.a. "The Charmer"; "The East Side Killer"; "The Bellevue Killer" who resided in Bellevue, WA in the 90’s.  He was a lover of nightclubs and the bar scene but a hater of women.  He brutally murdered 3 young women, in such heinous ways that even the police were besides themselves during the investigations.  Russell was able to fly under the radar for over a year, due to him having built a sort of relationship with the police department. He was valued as an informant, errand runner and was even able to befriended some of the officers.

This week, Erika covers the WTF story of Dorothea Puente. Dorothea looked like a typical little old granny, petite, white haired, big ole glasses, and wore granny style outfits.  As we all know, looks can be deceiving and in Dorothea’s case she deceived many wonderful and trusting people. She became a well-respected part of the community in Sacramento known mostly for running a boarding house for the elderly and mentally disabled. In one way this whole story could have been chalked up to her just being greedy and manipulative, well that was until she decided to murder at least 9 of her unsuspecting tenants.

Then Amber covers the Yuba County Five. The Yuba County five were five young men from Yuba County, California. The all had mild intellectual disabilities, they each lived with their parents, and they were referred to by their parents as "the boys". They were the best of friends and they all had a deep love for sports. On the night of February 24, 1978, they attended a California State University basketball game in Chico, California, about 50 miles from home. A stop at a convenience store for snacks after the game would be the last time the boys were ever seen alive.

In this episode, Amber covers the devastating murder of child star, Judith Barsi. Judith, or Judy as she was known, was born June 6, 1978. She began her career in television, making appearances in commercials and television series as well as in the film Jaws: The Revenge, she provided voices for animated characters in “All Dogs Go To Heaven” and “The Land Before Time” as Ducky, where she was known for her famous line of "Yep, yep yep". She and her mother, Maria, were killed in July 1988 in a double murder-suicide committed in their home by her father, József Barsi.

Then Erika covers the chaotic killings of Keith Hunter Jesperson a.k.a. “The Happy Face Killer”.  In January of 1990, he would murder his first victim Taunja Bennett in Portland, Oregon.  Her body would be discovered and then all of a sudden, with an anonymous tip to police by Laverne Pavlinac, things started to seem like they were coming together for the investigation. Laverne started with blaming her way younger boyfriend John Sosnovske and then after changing her story a few too many times, she ends up implicating herself.  So…while Pavlinac and Sosnovske are dragging the investigation through the ringer for something they didn’t even do, Keith is out wreaking havoc and would end up murdering even more women. 

Erika was back to drinking her Yellow Tail Chardonnay, so we know how that was. LOL

In this episode, Erika covers the 70-year-old unsolved murder of 33-year-old Garnet Ginn, a high school Economics teacher at Portland High in Portland, Indiana.  Garnet was found murdered on the morning of February 28, 1950, when she didn’t show up for classes and the City Superintendent went to check on her at her apartment.  When the superintendent couldn’t find her at her apartment, he went to the garage where she parked her car. That is where he found Garnet hanging from her passenger side door by a sewing machine belt. Law enforcement ruled her death a suicide, but her parents knew better. An investigation of their own points to murder.

Cooper, also known as Dan Cooper, hijacked a commercial plane traveling from Portland, Oregon, to Seattle, Washington, on Thanksgiving Eve (November 24th) in 1971.  He  parachuted out of the aircraft with the ransom money and was never seen again.

Then Erika covers the famous story of how 3 inmates attempted and managed to escape the most secure prison in the world.  Frank Morris, John Anglin and Clarence Anglin, were all serving their prison sentences on the Rock a.k.a. Alcatraz.  With Morris in charge they planned their escape for months before finally executing the very well thought out plan.   THe whole thing was beyond creative and its incredible how they pulled this stunt off.  The even crazier thing is that once they escaped, they just vanished.  Still to this day the question is did the 3 men, die in the San Francisco Bay or did they manage to just blend in to the world without being noticed and live their best lives, no one knows.  So listen in while Erika goes over one of the most famous prison escapes and the men who got away with it.

In this week’s Episode, Erika covers the murders of Rodney Alcala a.k.a. “The Dating Game Killer”. For years, Rodney was able to get away with murder, by posing as a photographer and luring young girls, young boys and women into his web of lies and deceit. He would even appear and win a date with Cheryl Bradshaw on the popular game show “The Dating Game”. Luckily, Cheryl saw through the charm and got a weird creepy vibe from him, so the date never happened. That decision possibly saved her life. Sadly, many other women were not so lucky. Listen in while Erika shares the story of how Alcala got away with murder until he didn’t.

In this week’s Episode, Erika covers the Gitchie Manitou Murders of 4 young men and the rape of a young women named Sandra Cheskey, who would also be the sole survivor from the terrifying events that occurred on November 17,1973. The 5 friends were just out for a night of hanging out, playing guitar, smoking a little weed and enjoying a campfire, when 3 brothers showed up and changed the lives of the group forever..  The Fryer brothers saw the group and came up with a plan to steal their weed, but tragically this plan also included, murder and rape and the result was 4 lives lost way too early, and 1 life still dealing with the pain, guilt and horror on a daily basis.

In this week’s episode Erika covers the murders of Dr. Charles Scudder and Joseph Odom. They both wanted a simpler life away from the hustle and bustle. So when they found an eerily but beautiful 40,000-acre piece of land, they knew it would be perfect for their dream home. By hand they built the two-story mini castle and give it the name of  Corpsewood Manor. They would also build a “pink room”, dabble in the Church of Satan, have Beezlebub and Arsinath as protectors and a fond love for LSD and homemade wine. Curious, well listen in to hear all the details of Corpsewood Manor and the tragic deaths of Dr. Scudder and Joseph Odom.

Erika was drinking a white wine from Eufloria - a little on the sweet side but very yummy.  I found that if you add a little seltzer water to it, it is rather yummy and cuts down the sweet just enough.
