As a kid, I used to drive my dad crazy with my curiosity.
But why daddy?
Being the parent, the standard answer was "Because I said so." More out of frustration than anything else.
I grew up to become a journalist and continued to ask "Why?"
Today, I head up a leadership platform for women and continue to ask "Why?"
Curiosity drives me as a leader.
When our curiosity is triggered, we think more deeply and rationally about decisions and come up with more-creative solutions. Curiosity allows leaders to gain more respect from their followers. It also inspires employees to develop more-trusting and more-collaborative relationships with their colleagues.
