Meet Dave, co-creator and host of the podcast, Dopey: On the Dark Comedy of Drug Addiction. With 10 million downloads and over 400 episodes, Dopey is the gold standard for all other recovery shows. Jeannine talks with Dave about his life growing up in NY, interning at MTV, their shared hatred for the Thomas Guide, his life long ambition of being "relaxed," and of course, heroin. Dave spent years of his life in active addiction, caught in the cycle of active use/methadone/rehab. Sober now since 2015, in sobriety Dave reunited with and grew his family, and started the Dopey podcast with his friend Chris. After Chris's tragic overdose and death in 2018, Dave continued the show which has continued to exponentially grow in downloads and popularity.
