  • How Can We Change The Way We Look At Mental Health?
Have you ever questioned your own sanity? If you have, you’re not alone. In fact, most of us will think we’re going ‘mad’ at some point in our lives.
    [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2022/04/26122143/BrendanKelly_2604.mp3"][/audio]
But what is mad, who decides who is mad and who is not and how do we define it?
Brendan Kelly is one of Ireland’s most well-known psychiatrists with a CV that’d put most of us to shame.
He’s taking a look at the concept of the mental illness in his brand new book ‘In Search of Madness’. Brendan travelled around the world, and through time to try and figure out what makes us tick, and how we can best look after ourselves.
Brendan joined Dermot and Dave to take us through what he found, and what he think he needs to change.

  • Irish Research Proves That Indiana Jones Was Right
When it comes to scorpions, the bigger the better. Small one bites you, don't keep it to yourself.

  • How To Improve Your Attention Span
How’s your attention span? Have you made it to the end of this sentence and now you’re reaching for your phone and forgetting what you were reading in the first place?
    [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2022/04/25113909/Ronan_Scorpions.mp3"][/audio]
It seems like all of our attention spans have gradually been depleted over the past couple of years, and it was summed up by an email we got into [email protected] recently.
Hey lads, is it just me or do you find that your attention spans are shot? Even when I’m on my phone, I find myself forgetting what I was reading, or looking at a load of different things and then never remembering what I saw. I’m sure my phone is the problem but it’s something I hate’.
In a Mind Yourself Now special, neuroscientist, author of ‘Beating Brain Fog’ and the host of the ‘Superbrain’ podcast Sabina Brennan joined Dermot and Dave to explain what’s going on and what you can do to improve it.

  • Are You Driving A ‘Zombie Car’? Here’s How To Find Out
A recent survey has found that there are nearly 40,000 ‘Zombie’ cars on Irish roads, that’s over €300 million worth.
    [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2022/04/25113128/Shane_ZombieCars_2504.mp3"][/audio]
The cars often look fine but could be hiding a dangerous history beneath the bonnet.  As the price of second hand cars increase, people could be paying above the odds for a car that could cause an awful lot of hassle down the line.
Car history company MotorCheck have done a huge amount of work across the border and in the UK to trace down how many ‘zombie cars’ are in Ireland.
Shane Teskey from MotorCheck joined Dermot and Dave to explain what makes a zombie car, the dangers of them and how to make sure that you’re driving the safest possible car.

We’d a bunch of Hollywood stars on the show, the cast of Anatomy of a Scandal, including Sienna Miller joined Dermot and Dave to reveal all about the brand new Netflix show.
Aine Duffy told us about finding out that Billie Eilish is actually her cousin, and we heard some (pretty dubious) accounts of celeb relatives.
And we heard from an anonymous listener who got himself into a hot polo neck after an ‘accidental’ hickey from his missus.
Dave broke into Dermot’s gaff, Dermot’s dreaming about Bono again and our Cathal is very excited about the start of the GAA championship.
Plus all your faves from Dave’s Bad Jokes to Say Stuff That Suits The Music and our Noni, live from Augusta.
