The lads were back from their hols with a bang, and a lot of crying from Dave.

No he wasn’t sad to be returning to our little studio home, he was just devo about the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Thankfully, he had a lot of support. A lot of slagging, but a lot of support all the same.

At least he has a stellar Christmas present from Dermot to look forward to. That is, if he’d ever tell him what he’d like.  Dermot is keen to make the most out of our team Secret Santa this year, even if that means giving some pretty specific instructions to our Eimear, and plaguing Dave for what he wants.

Peng Wings and Sat Naps? Maybe you know someone to say Covis? Or Corona 19? We were all about mispronunciations this week and there were some BRILLIANT ones in there.

Plus all your faves from Say Stuff That Suits the Music, Noni got us in the mood for the Toy Show and of course, Dave told us some particularly bad jokes.

Much like, well everything, the pandemic has massively changed the way we date, and that looks set to continue well into 2022.

Appearances is out, fast-forwarding is in and it seems like we’re all going to be way more upfront about what we want from a partner in the new year.

What we get up to on dates is set to change too, with half the world knee deep in sourdough starters and banana bread for much of the last two years, we’ve heard that a lot of people intend on including their hobbies in their plans with a prospective partner.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Dr Caroline West, Relationship Expert with Bumble revealed some of the other ways our love lives are going to change next year.

When you close your eyes, do you see images?  Maybe it’s a face, a memory, an idea or even a scene.

For Mark Newman, he doesn’t see anything.

Mark has a condition known as aphantasia, which means that he has no ‘visual imagination’ and cannot create mental images in his mind.

However, Mark is also an award-winning goldsmith, and makes stunning works of art from hand.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Mark explained how he came upon his diagnosis, and how he uses algorithms and theory to create his beautiful pieces.

The Government should consider building a “signature stadium” to land a “serious” pitch in its bid to host the World Cup in 2030, according to one Fianna Fáil Senator.

We all know how good Noni is at spinning a yarn, right? Well today's was the story of a Late Late Toy Show special including two of Munster rugby's finest.

Once upon a time, when Conor Murray and Keith Earls were only young buckeens, they starred on, "the only good programme RTÉ makes the whole year" - as Noni puts it.

It's a tale of high-powered toys, the Billie Barry kids, and a "chawklit lolly maker" causing an awful mess.

This year's Toy Show has a lot to live up to.

Neal Davies is the CEO of BBDO Dublin. While you might not know the name, you’ll know some of their work, including the iconic Guinness Christmas ad.
