  • Hear All About This Celebrity Dating App That's Causing A Stir
I guess Tinder and Bumble just wouldn't be suitable for Celebs, and at the end of the day, they need to find their one true love as well!
Well, there’s a celebrity dating app called Raya. It’s a private, membership based app that was initially a dating app but has ‘added features to promote professional networking for members of the entertainment industry’ (apparently).
To join Raya, users must be referred by an existing member, and the application process could take days or even months to be processed. People who have apparently been on the app include Niall Horan, Lewis Capaldi, Demi Lovato and Lily Allen.
Producer Maria Deveruex joined Dermot and Dave to chat about Raya and how there seems to be some privacy issues involving well know celebs.
You can listen to the full chat here:

We heard about the orphaned foal who now has a cow for a mother, met the TodayFM listener who is living year round in a van and we got the skinny on Penneys reopening.
Dr Rory Hearne got a HUGE reaction when he spoke to Dermot and Dave about the Irish housing crisis and we heard from listeners around the country who are struggling to find a home.

"The government does not actually want you to be able to buy or rent an affordable home."

  • Netflix Series To Look At New York's Most Famous Killer
Across 1976 and 1977, New York City was caught up in the case of Son of Sam. Six people were killed and seven others were killed, seemingly at random across Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
In August 1977, a man called David Berkowitz confessed to being the 'Son of Sam' and he is currently serving six life sentences for his crimes.
Now a new Netflix documentary is exploring if there is more to the case than meets the eye.
The documentary will explore if Berkowitz acted alone, or if there was an involvement of a cult.
In Maria's Telly on Dermot and Dave, producer Maria had all the info on the new doc along with all the weekend's telly.

  • Meet The Man Behind The Toughest Races In The World
Imagine running a race that even if you ran 300 miles for three days straight, you could be classed as 'not finishing'.
'Big Dog's Backyard Ultra' is an annual event which takes place in rural Tennessee in the back garden of a man called Lazarus Lake. The premise is simple, every hour you run 4.16667 miles and then you do it again, and again every hour until you're the last person standing.
It doesn't matter if you're the quickest runner, the slowest runner or if you crawl, as long as you cross the finish line within the hour and you're ready to go again, you stay in the race.
It's a battle of the mind, versus the body, and hoping against hope that your competitors fall before you do.
Lazarus has some experience in the world of weird, and wonderful, races. He's also the man behind The Barkley Marathons, often regarded as one of the hardest races in the ultramarathon world. Since it's inception in 1986, only 15 people have completed it.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Lazarus explained where the ideas came from, why people decide to take part in massive numbers every year and how often, women do better than men!

  • Investor Funds, The Housing Market And What It Means For You
The Government does not actually want you to be able to buy or rent an affordable home. They have created an unaffordable housing system that is focused on delivering housing as an investment asset, not a home.
Dr Rory Hearne, Assistant Professor at Maynooth University and author of Housing Shock: The Irish Housing Crisis and How to Solve it, has gone viral for his article on TheJournal.ie which details his outlook on various Governments' policies around housing since the Celtic Tiger.

The article came at a time when the Government have begun to promise action on investment funds after it emerged a UK based firm had bought 135 out of 170 houses in a Kildare estate.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Rory explained in detail how these investment funds have impacted on housing in Ireland, and what that means for people trying to get on the property ladder.

He also gave his take on the steps that need to be taken by those in power to stop the housing crisis.
