  • Three Simple Steps To Make Sure You Have A Magical Christmas
Covid or no Covid, Christmas is a stressful time for most of us. Whether it's family issues, money concerns or just sheer burnout, we all feel a little bit more on edge over the month of December.
For Mind Yourself Now with Dermot and Dave, clinical hypnotherapist and best selling author of The Positive Habit Fiona Brennan gave a three step plan for finding the magic in Christmas.
Gratitude - acceptance for what is & not how things were or 'should be'
Pull out the positives by processing the negative emotions- allow yourself to feel sad, missing loved ones, cry, release all emotions in a healthy way & then when you have done that focus on the positives
Presence and loving awareness - bring it back to the moment. Create a loving feeling in your heart.
Fiona also did a short meditation that you can do when it all gets a bit toooo much.

  • 'Imagine This Kind Of Stuff Happening For Dublin V Cavan': Questions Remain Over Ladies Football Semi-Final
Playing in an All-Ireland Semi Final should be a monumental occasion for anyone who has ever put on a jersey and stepped onto the pitch.
There should be excitement from the moment you step onto the bus to the venue, knowing that your family, friends and county will be cheering you on every step of the way.
While covid-19 has meant that this is a season like no other, questions remain after the Ladies All-Ireland Semi Final with Cork against Galway had its venue moved twice and the time of throw in pushed back by 30 minutes.  This meant that the Galway team arrived to play in Croke Park with little or no time to warm up indoors or outdoors, and that the match wouldn't be shown live on television as planned.
Sports psychologist and journalist, Máire Treasa Ní Cheallaigh spoke to Dermot and Dave about how this situation came to be and what needs to be taken from this to ensure it never happens again.
