It seems like most Irish people are spending their days on lockdown in the kitchen!

But no one has master the art of quarantine cooking quite like comedian Danny O'Brien.

He has been doing a recipe a day for over a month now on his Instagram, as well as a few other food projects that have been getting a huge response amongst his followers.  But, what makes Danny even more of a legend is that fact that he is making sure the delicious food that he cooks is going to a good home.

This afternoon he is making an epic full roast dinner and delivering it to some nurses in St James' Hospital who are working on the frontline. Not only that, he has also managed to get them some badly needed PPE, through his uncle's company.

If you've been following Dave's social media over the last few weeks, you'll have noticed he has been running a series of World Cups.

First up there was the sneakers World Cup, followed by the Father Ted Secondary Character World cup, but Dave's latest brain child has really got the nation talking.

Dave is now searching for Ireland's favourite Eurovision entry and the first set of marches has seen his followers having to make some tough decisions, like choosing between Mickey Joe Harte and Chris Doran.

After the Government restrictions announced last night that bans all mass gathers of over 5000 people, it's hard to know when we will get our next fix of live music.

But Warner Music have stepped in to help all us music fans, who are suffering from a lack of gigs at the moment.

On April 24th, the record label, which is home to the likes of Coldplay, Cardi B, Ed Sheeran, Paramore and many more will be presenting a one of a kind virtual music festival.

Fans will be able to enjoy some of their favourite artists and help raise money for the World Health organisations COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund at the same time.

Maria brought us the news of the new festival as part of her entertainment news, where she also revealed how Scarlett Moffatt is dealing with internet trolls.

The Taoiseach says he hopes to be able to announce the lifting of some of the Covid-19 restrictions by May 5th.

Leo Varadkar says a plan's being prepared that'll set out step-by-step how the economy and society will reopen. He says the aim's to focus on areas with the most benefit to society but the least risk. But, speaking on RTE Prime Time last night, Leo Varadkar says several factors must be considered before any restrictions are lifted.

Yesterday it announced a ban on events of over 5,000 people until September due to Covid-19. Sean Defoe from Today FM News joined Dermot & Dave this morning to discuss the new rules.

The move has resulted in the cancellation of big gigs and festivals this summer.

Like some of the biggest TV productions around the world, Room To Improve is no exception to the Covid-19 shutdown.

Dermot Bannon has revealed that he is 'unsure' if production on the new season will go ahead anytime soon, as building sites are currently closed due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Speaking to Dermot & Dave this morning, Bannon revealed that producers are looking at the possibility of recording the show with strict social distancing in place when building sites reopen, but because there is such uncertainty as to when that will be, production of the show has come to a halt.

The RTE host also revealed that he was forced to suspend the recording of his second show 'Dermot Bannon's Dream Homes'  due to travel restrictions in Spain.

Room To Improve normally shoots in the summer time and airs on RTE One during their winter schedule.

Like so many of us, Irish football legend Robbie Keane and his wife Claudine are trying their best to help those who are on the frontline in the fight against Coronavirus.

The pair have launched a GoFundMe campaign where they are hoping to raise as much money as possible in aid of ‘Our Hospital Heroes’, in association with the Mater Hospital Foundation.

Claudine spoke to Dermot & Dave this morning about the campaign and also revealed that in order to encourage donations they have decided to gift a very special edition Hublot watch to one person.

Even though hospital staff are under enormous pressure at the moment, they were still able to show incredible kindness and patience when caring for a seriously ill member of Claudine and Robbie's family who had to be treated in ICU due to Covid19.

As a thank you for their amazing dedication and compassion they are asking you to support #OurHospitalHeroes, a fundraising appeal led by 12 of Ireland’s acute hospitals on the frontline of the Covid -19 battle.

This morning on Dermot & Dave the lads spoke to Kelly Geoghegan from Sleepy Stars.  She is a qualified Maternity Nurse, Emergency Medical Technician, First Aid Instructor and CPO. Kelly is a member of the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants and also the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants.

Over the past number of years Kelly has travelled the world working with children of all ages in varied roles.

At the beginning of 2018 Kelly decided to stay in Ireland and help parents who have infants with sleep issues. Kelly is so fortunate that many of the parents she has helped over the years have recommended her to friends, family, co-workers etc. who are also praying for a good night’s sleep and Kelly is kept busy as a result. She hasn’t needed to advertise because her business has grown from word of mouth – not many can say that.

Kelly spoke to the lads about how you can get your child to have the perfect nights sleep and also what you should do when they wake up at night and look to come into mammy and daddy's bed!

Dave was in flying form for Dave's World - Bad Joke Tuesday this week!

The World Health Organisation have said that not only are we facing a pandemic with Covid-19 but we are also facing an ‘infodemic’ and if you've ever used a smart phone, you'll know all about it.

From theories on holding your breath to drinking water, it seems like we're constantly being subjected to false health information on our phones.

Now a team based out of NUI Galway have gotten together to get to the bottom of these theories and factcheck them.

Elaine Finucane who is on the team behind iHealthFacts spoke to the lads this morning about why you shouldn't be putting wine gums in your ears!
