December 18, 2024 Eyes Wide Open: Was Stanley Kubrick Murdered by the Illuminati? (Episode 147 ft. Jerii Aquino)
On March 7, 1999, the film industry was rocked with the news that legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick passed away unexpectedly at his home in England. His mysterious death came just days after showing a rough cut of Eyes Wide Shut to the bigwigs at Warner Bros and months before its scheduled release. It had been a long and demanding production. Did the stress of it all finally get to him? Or was something more sinister at play?

You see, the movie digs deep into the nefarious activities of a secret society and exposes uncomfortable truths. Deep enough to anger a group of billionaires with cloaks and connections? Perhaps. Whether Kubrick died of an unexpected heart attack or if he was murdered by the Illuminati, one thing is certain: Eyes Wide Shut did end his life. We unravel the conspiracy, today on Death in Entertainment!

December 10, 2024 Rest in Grease: Last Meals at the Heart Attack Grill (Episode 146 ft. Ben Kissel)
Are you fed up with small portion sizes? Does the label “gluten-free” make you sick? Do you want your arteries clogged with grease? If you answered yes to all 3 questions, then grab your stretchy pants and defibrillator because we’ve got a reservation at The Heart Attack Grill!

It’s a hospital-themed restaurant where nurses serve you humongous burgers deep fried in lard and then spank you if you fail to clean your plate. The owner, who calls himself Dr. Jon, proudly admits that his food will kill you. And he ain't kiddin'! Several loyal customers have dined and died there over the years. That’s not only a fact, it’s a selling point. But despite the grim prognosis, business is booming. It’s become a kind of high calorie curiosity in Las Vegas. The very picture of American excess. Bon Appetit!

November 14, 2024 Kid 90s: The Tragic Tale of Jonathan Brandis (Episode 143 ft. Ben Kissel)
Child stardom is a strange thing. One day you’re on the cover of Tiger Beat, plastered on every teen girl’s locker, and starring on a popular TV show with the guy from "Jaws." The next day, you’re chewed up and spit out like a piece of gum stuck on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Jonathan Brandis was on top of the world at 17. At 27, he was gone. Behind the striking blue eyes and lovable smirk, was a river of sadness. This is the story of a young actor caught between who he was, who he wanted to be, and who the industry thought he should be.
