Pia Long is the perfumer at and co-founder of independent British fragrance house Olfiction. She is known for her unique and expressive style of perfumery, pulling from nature, history, and popular culture to create unique, evocative, complex, and most importantly, fun fragrances. She has created for her own brand Eau de Boujee (co-founded with Nick Gilbert) as well as Zoologist, Beaufort London, Vallense and more. Pia has just published a unique and fascinating book: Demo Accords. It's all about perfumery as a form of protest and in this episode I talk to Pia all about the inspirations behind the book and the 10 fragrance compositions that were created to support it.
