I want to take a moment to set the scene: A picture-perfect family of healthy, successful parents, raising happy, young children is a goal most of us would love to achieve. But for many of us that goal may seem too far out of reach to even consider it. Work, laundry, cleaning, parenting, and cooking for kids, who probably won’t eat anything anyway, can leave you with no time for yourself, causing frustration, fatigue, and stress. This results in overeating, poor nutrition, emotional upheaval, and sickness. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Dr. Orlena Kerek, MBChB is a pediatric doctor from Great Britain who lives in Spain with her husband and 4 young children. She was feeling trapped in that sort of crazy life full of turmoil causing low self-esteem and anger”. She wasn’t the person she wanted to be. Through extensive research she began to understand and work on her own emotional wellbeing.
She started prioritizing her own self-care and discovered that being a working mom, eating healthy, nutritious foods and looking after yourself is possible. She became a health, weight and life coach to help people say goodbye to frustration and have an amazing, healthy life. She helps families create healthy habits they love, so they can all feel fit and fabulous without having to think about it.
Dr. Kerek bases her weight loss coaching on 4 pillars:
- Healthy eating you love
- Exercise that lights you up
- Delicious healthy sleep which is an integral part of health and weight loss.
- Emotional wellness- creating systems, habits, and routines.
To achieve success in those areas it must become a habit. You must be able to do it without thinking so when life happens, it is your go to. Dr. Kerek’s goal now is to provide other people with the tools they need to lose weight by eating healthily.
